Why don't you do a good deed and buy JJ a ticket out to Vegas......and a cheap room? It would be a legendary and historic get-together. The good karma you'd earn from your benevolence would virtually guarantee you a run of good luck and a financially successful trip.

Also you could learn esoteric things about the town from a long-time insider, could teach him a few well-needed tricks about getting laid, and could settle this unsightly feud between two of our Forum's most influential posters.

And don't let him tell you he doesn't want to (or can't) go to Vegas. Every degen worth his weight in pubes wants to be in Sin City for the opening weekend of college football. And we know he doesn't have work or family commitments.

I gotta believe that a seismic event like this would be just the thing this forum needs to end the summer doldrums and kick start an incredibly exciting (and profitable) fall season of football, playoff baseball, hoops, and hockey. Yee-hah!!

it'll be like one of those dreaded time share pitch vacations we all took when we were young....

you get to go to the destination you desire, but you have to put up with two hours of dealing with something you don't want to deal with to go on the trip....

in this case, the "two hours" will be a required evening at dinner and some gambling afterward until you're stewed at the casino where you have the most connections (ie, your choice); if my wife chooses I think she said wanting to hit the Cosmopolitan....

and then you and I have a one on one sit down at a book for brunch to go over you're thoughts on how to be, well, not necessarily a winner, but a professional gambler in general....
