    Verifying bank account with moneybookers
They state you can wire them some money, but this is a (pricey) pain in the ass. But you can also just make a withdrawal from your moneybookers account, then once it shows up on your statement, you can scan it and send it to moneybookers.

But what if the statement does not provide enough information about the transaction? Unfortunately, my statement does not say where the money was received from or what the transaction ID is. Worse, it converted the funds into CDN$, but my withdrawal was in USD, and so the withdrawal amounts do not even match. Anyone have any experience with this? I know I could phone my bank and get that information, but simply relaying that info to moneybookers would not be acceptable.

Don't worry about it, it will work, I've verified all my bank accounts this way with moneybookers.

No, by screen capturing the bank statement or scanning a copy of a mailed statement, it will show a wire transfer for xxx amount and that is perfectly acceptable to moneybookers.

They are a financial institution that deals with banks around the globe, they are very aware that there are differences in the various banking systems of other countries.

In my experience moneybookers has been easy/reasonable to deal with.

Even if you withdrew $10USD and it showed up on your account as $11.93CDN?

          All it says is

          May 20 Transaction (Other) $11.93

Guess it is worth a try...

A worst case scenario would be they don't accept it at first, then you may have to send an explanation and you'll be verified.

Like I said, they are easy to deal with and getting this done should be easy, especially if your account has been operating for a while and your address/ID are already verified.

I think their main concern is seeing the account numbers match on the banking info you sent.

                  Moneybookers pissed me off today.

Yesterday I emptied an account into my moneybookers account and subsequently deposited to another book. This morning I get an email asking me to verify my address, the first time I've received anything asking for this documentation. I figure, no big deal, I'll send it in sometime this week. Tonight I wanted to make another small deposit using MB, and it says my account is frozen until I verify my address.

So basically, they froze my account the moment they sent the document request. WTF? Could they not have asked me to do this months ago? What happened to giving people a buffer zone and plenty of notice before freezing you from transactions?

strange, dwaechte. Hopefully soon after you verify your address they'll designate you a VIP. Only VIPs get nice treatment from MB...
