Guy wants to put more money on the under when first batter homers. How can you like the under MORE after that?

We'll see how valuable a great scouting report is I guess. Personally, I've always believed good pitching will beat good hitting and good scouting anyday. If he's on and hitting his spots, he'll still get them out. You make me nervous though...

Dude, they have to score 1 run eventually. Soriano does that all the freaking time. And there is a run scored in the 1st more times than not in MLB games. Wow.

Damn, when calculating totals they don't count 9th inning runs? Should have realized that before I bet...

Yes, two out two-run homers in the 9th count towards the total. Indeed. Break your arm patting yourself on the back after this easy cover.
We are all in awe of your incredible insight and obvious inside knowledge. (Not to mention your humility in the face of such a blowout cover).
Thank you so much for posting this mortal lock that easily cashed after the 53rd out of the game. We're not worthy.

taco I stole crazylou's model, told it to predict the number of sets in Sharapova (Cubs) v. Cibulkova (Braves). The model predicted the match would go under 3 sets, so I bet the over.
jellob, if Braves had nailed 3 runs with 2 outs in the 1st inning, I would have had the right play all along?

I never said you didn't have the right play. The right play is always the one that cashes. If I had posted with the certainty that you started this thread with however, I'd be at least a little sheepish about the cover. I definitely wouldn't be gloating over it. This was a bad beat for under backers.
Anyway....again, congrats.

Mathy KNEW this would go over. We all thought the Braves would not come back. But mathy KNEW they would.

I didn't even consider it, but now that you mention it...
You know, he KNEW it was going over after Soriano hit a first inning home run. He already cashed the ticket he said. That must be a sign for professional gamblers. An indicator. If Soriano hits a first inning homer, the game is definitely going over.
