Titles decide who the best player is especially a dominant player like Howard. If Lakers lose without question Howard is the man and plus majority of NBA champs are because of big men not guards. Height is what wins in the NBA.
Jordan was an exception but he was greatest player of all times but did have some very good big men in some of his titles.Comment -
JJ, teams win championships. Are you forgetting Howard is SURROUNDED BY FANTASTIC PLAYERS. Endless knockdown shooters and play makers he has as a supporting cast.
When he was suspended this year in the playoffs, the Magic beat Philly by 20+. Even when he is in foul trouble and on the bench they cruise and bruise for a while. When Lebron leaves the game for 1 second, all hell breaks loose. Even when Lebron has his best playoff game in his career, they lose because of NO SUPPORT.
Orlando is one of the deepest teams in the NBA (actually... probably the deepest). Lebron has who? A fool named Williams??

wow Howard makes his 1st Finals appearance and he is all of a sudden the best player in the NBA. A guy who makes 58% of his FT and can't score outside of 3 feet from the basket is not what I would consider the best player in the game. Howard is a beast on a very good TEAM, but the Lakers won't give him the same respect as they did Yao, Yao is a skilled player with range and they also had to respect his post moves....old azz BigZ and softy Varejao will be much different then facing 2 more agile 7 footers in Bynum and Gasol. Face it the Magic live and die with the 3, if they are hitting a high % I like their chances if not the series won't even be close. Although I'm pulling for the Magic, the Lakers will win the Championship and Kobe will leave no doubt that he still is the best player in the league.
