Kind of funny that Fed can come back from 2 sets to love on what is arguably his worst surface yet Rafa can't overcome a 2 sets to 1 deficit on his absolute best surface.

It was Tommy Haas. He never should have been in the position in the first place.

Ok right and Fed was -1500 prior to match, and Nadal was what -5200 against Soderling?

Fed still is vulnerable, lots of good players still left.

it is fed's "worst" surface but it's more appropriate to say that "fed is better on hardcourt and grass than he is on the clay". dont forget that federer is now 27-0 the last 4+ yrs at the french open on that clay against every not named rafael nadal. so in other words, he is the 2nd best clay courter in the world in 06, 07, 08, and hopefully 09. not only that, he had never been taken 5 sets at roland garros before today, so he was winning those 27 matches with relative ease. fed grew up playing on clay courts in switzerland. he just happened to play at a time right now where the arguable greatest claycourter ever (borg the other) to ever play tennis

now it should make complete sense how fed could come back from down 0-2 on a surface he actually plays extremely well on except for against one guy. you get my point, Lou?

The funny thing is Fed loosing two sets straight against Haas! let's remember who Haas is, he's outside the top 50, something like 67th and is approaching retirement.

Soderling is only 24, ranked 25th in the world and is a solid player, we haven't heard alot from him because he's had many injuries. Sure he's no Nadal beater when Nadals having a good game but Haas isn't in his league.

Fed has had a real easy ride and even managed to screw that up, the guys living off his experience and brand name, his luck will run out soon, hopefully for me in the next round against Monfils.

i agree that monfils is a very dangerous matchup for fed, that should be a great match
