Fact is though, I was ousted in the tournament in the very early going..........but more then made up for in a cash game, netting $844 in a seven hour stint.

Allow me to put it in simple terms..........
My lifetime poker tournament results(200+ tourneys) shows me being in the RED.........
Having said that, definetly one of the top cash game players in the Tampa area........and beyond.
Tournaments have huge variance, after having entered over 200 in my lifetime, I still dream of that one big score that will enable me to say that I'm out of the red............when that will come is anyones guess. Fact is, I'm just not a good tournament player.Comment -

#14To be a good tourney player you need to take more chances and be a very good bluffer.
Fishhead your a tight player therefore it explains your tourney records.Comment -

#16Depending on the game, patience is actually needed in many tournaments more so than cash games. I would like to believe that if I played in tournaments with bigger buyins, I would actually fare better because I wouldn't be as bored coupled with the fact I would be motivated to do well............it's hard for me to get motivated for these 100 buyin and below tourneys........plus the structures and rakes are terrible in most of them.
Cash games are dictated by the players at the table........if it's full of loose players, have the patience to wait for my spots. On the other hand, if it is a table full of tightwads, I will play aggresively and basically just run over the table.
In cash games, one is able to make TABLE SELECTIONS if there are many games going in a room, and this is key to ones longterm success. I try not to ever sit at a table where I feel there are at least two better players than myself.......unless of course there is 1 or 2 gigantic fish at the table, which occurs frequently, especially in Florida.Comment -

#18I'm on a major heater in cash games right now, I can do no wrong.
Yesterday I was heading home and driving by Tampa Greyhound I decided to stop just to play 1-2 hours for their Aces cracked promo and hopefully pick-up a few bucks.
Three hours later I'm walking out of the joint with $460 profit .........big hand was when I flopped a set of nines over a set of five's to the guy sitting to my left.
