How this cappers make the winnings that they claim
I was browsin in a site that reviews handicappers and I saw some results that I was not sure enough, I am just going to take one of the aproved cappers result so you can analyze.

Results are from "respectable" capper Eddie Hawk
Records Per SportSport Win - Loss - Push Percentage Units
    NFL 291 - 188 - 11 60.75% 8897
    NCAAF 357 - 220 - 10 61. 87% 12020
    NBA 829 - 560 - 20 59. 68% 22546
    NCAAB 563 - 400 - 18 58.46% 13271
    MLB 1055 - 718 - 31 59.50% 31380
*Click on individual sport for listed games

Overall Records by TimeTime Frame Win - Loss - Push Percentage units

    Yesterday 1 - 2 - 0 33.33% -177
    Last 7 Days 15 - 11 - 0 57.69% 266
    Last 30 Days 62 - 47 - 0 56.88% 1240
    Last 90 Days 176 - 175 - 6 50.14% -872
    Last Year 726 - 530 - 24 57.80% 16973
    Records Since Start 3095 - 2086 - 90 59.74% 88114

O.k its a very good record but how is it possible to make so many units with that record?

If you won this often, why would you sell your picks?

he seems to be using 100 unit bet size. Not that it matters.

I checked his previous 2 posts and realised he's probably not shilling for Mr Eddie so apologies to the OP.

Im not sure what the word "shilling" but if it is "rooting for" "advertising" or sometihing like that your wrong, but apoligies accepted.
I just took this handiccapers stats because he is one of the few that shows somewhat detail records.

Im new to betting so I am skeptical of his profits, take for an example with his stats in the nfl

                Wins-loss-push units profits
                291 188- 11 8897

taking the standard odds of 1.90, and the betting unit 100, for every win you make 90 (.9 units) for every
loss you lose 100 (1 unit), making the math

                Wins 291 x .9 units= 261.9 units won
                loss 188 x 1 units= 188 units lossed

by this logic the profits will have to be 73.9 units won (261.9- 188)

and check his alleged units won 8,897

I dont think you can achieve this result with doubling or tripleing some bets, and its not supposed to be most flat betting in this kind of handicapping services??

The reason I wrongly thought you might be shilling is because a common tactic is for the company itself to be posting messages that say: 'How does this guy do this?' in an attempt to draw favourable attention to said company.

As to your point, I'd say he's probably invented his record so his +/- is kinda irrelevent anyway.

If you browse the sports sections on this site you'll see plenty of decent cappers giving their thoughts on various games for free, with the added advantage of being able to add your own thoughts or ask pertinent questions, there really is no need to be paying a tout if you are a regular reader of this board.

Probably betting different units, and gets lines slightly better than 1.90 - maybe from Pinnacle etc. Either way, anyone hitting 60% over that many games would never need to, or WANT to, sell their picks. I'd almost guarenteed a scam.

in US standard procedure is win 100, lose 110. That gets you closer I believe to 88.9 or 8897.
