If you're doing it with friends whats the point? You're trying to get lucky and beat the casino, not each other.

If you're trying to give a deal to a stranger at a casino, to where you have an edge and can make $ that sounds good. But I can just see you soliciting high rollers at a casino roulette table. "Hey buddy let me explain to you how this works"

With respect, completely disagree. If you're with a friend who wants to spend the same amount as yourself, A) Why wouldn't you play with a friend who's willing to let green be a push, and B) I'd be much happier knowing I lost my money to a friend than losing it to a casino.

            how about winning?

Are you really gonna stand next to a table in a casino for considerable amount of time passing chips between one another? It's O.K. I guess.
Why not just flip a coin in the parking lot?

If I won I'd assume he'd be happy to lose to me instead of 'them.'

OK, I take the point about flipping the coin and it's a valid one and you could take it all the way back to why leave the house and waste the gas driving to the casino when you could use that gas money to bet your pal on coinflips, so I see where you're coming from.

For me it's more of a hypothetical. IF I was standing next to a table with a friend willing to lose a couple of hundred and IF he was willing to lose the same amount, I'd happily take the two greens out of the equation and play him. As for the chips, I'd use a pencil and paper and settle at the bar away from the table.

I don't go to the casinos often enough for it to be an issue but I can definetly see the benefits of two greens being a push.

Rogue Scholar doesn't gamble so this issue would never arise.

no commission would have the banker have the edge. How do they counteract that?

well, the people at the table were only betting banker after every 3 player hands.

I'm not a big time player and usually only take like $200, so I don't get comps or match plays.
Black Jack has the best odds against the house.
