Lebron will leave cleveland for the big money and big city lights of NYork. He will be a perfect fit for Dantoni and his run and gun system. he will bring some defense as well for the proper balance and championship mix.

He realizes Cleveland is not the place long term. The knicks are on the upswing and when they add him will be a force in the east.

Lebron will get his ring. it just wont be in cleveland.

He may get his ring but it won't be with Dantoni as his coach.

In the playoffs, the game becomes more half court, grind it out, Dantoni's offense won't do any better in NY than it did in the Valley of the Sun when it comes to the playoffs.

It's fun to watch. It works well in the regular season. It just won't win championships...

dantoni didnt have the right players to play the half court game. he had to play run and gun all the time in phoenix cuz of the roster he had. He is a smart coach who realizes what he needs to do to win a title. Adding lebron will be huge. He will have other offensive weapons around him and they will bring in some solid defenders as well for the right mix. I see them competing for a title in a few years. The east is gonna be like it was in the 90's with the Bulls and the Knicks at the top.

He will be a Net. Remember, Jay-Z and Lebron are good friends. Nets will move out of NJ ( Brooklyn). New team, new image, new stadium.

No way he goes to New jersey or brooklyn if they move. Nets will not spend the money it will take to get it done. Lebron will go somewhere where he knows they will get him the players he needs to win a title. Jay z a nice story but winning is all lebron cares about and the Nyork market is way more suited for him and winning championships.

Not a chance. Cavs have the Jordan curse which will stay on for at least 50 years. Plus it's CLEVELAND.

so even though he becomes a free agent in the summer of 2010 you think he'll sign with another team, perhaps stay with the cavs, then go to the knicks through a trade or whatever in 2011?

He is leaving cleveland and the Knicks will be a great option. Madison Square Garden will be electric with him there. Cant imagine him playin in brooklyn with the nets if that happens. does not have the same attraction as playing at MSG with all the tradition there.

If that Chinese company ends up buying a portion of the Cavs and Quicken arena like they are supposed to they will be able to market lebron in China and make him a TON more money than he would even get in NYC. He wants to be global and he wants to be a billionaire athlete and that would be his ticket......

You do know that Brooklyn has almost one million more residents than Manhattan?

Knicks have been crappy for years and will continue to suck. More people moving out of Manhattan because of the high cost of living.

                                    Brooklyn + Nets + New Stadium + Jay-Z = Lebron James

They are both businessmen and see the opportunity there.

Do not tease me as much as I hate people saying he is the best now. I still feel Kobe is better right now as well as thinking that Wade deserves to be considered in the discussion against Lebron for best player. Anyway I am a huge Grizzlies fan and would love Wade in 2010, but Lebron would be my 2nd pick as player I want. It doesn't matter though as we have no chance to get them and Mayo plus Gay are a good building block at the 2-3 spots.

im laughing hard at that post about brooklyn having a million more residents. its true. unfortunately most of them can not afford a lolly pop let alone a ticket in the upper deck at msg. to pay Lebron what he will demand will require a city with real wealth. People willing to spend big bucks on sporting events and not many cities compare to NYC. This brooklyn idea is a joke. cmon. Does anyone think wall street hedge fund managers are getting ready to move out of manhattan to find a nice penthouse in brooklyn cuz its too expensive??

Its hard to think that he is staying, he has had two chances to re-up his deal and he will have a third this off season. It is not a matter of how big of a deal he will get, the way the salary scale works in the nba there are about 7,or 8 teams that will all have the money to make it happen. In fact there is a very good chance that the knicks who really only have David lee contract on there books for that year along with Galinari, could sign lebron along with any other combo of players that would be out there Wade, and Bosh. This isn't baseball one team isn't just going to be able to pay him more, the cavs can afford the same price that the knicks can offer him, and the fact that he hasn't taken that extension lets you know he's probably gone.

Its not about salary people, learn how the NBA salary scale works before you say things that are not true!!

If he wants to stay in Cleveland they need to fir mike brown.. He is the worst coach in the nba, his assistances do more than he does.. You could let me coach the cavs at 20 years old and i would have a winning record i mean come on...

In the playoffs, the game becomes more half court, grind it out, Dantoni's offense won't do any better in NY than it did in the Valley of the Sun when it comes to the playoffs.

It's fun to watch. It works well in the regular season. It just won't win championships...
In my book they beat the Spurs and played in the finals and beat the Cavs.

if Lebron is a MAN he will stay in cleveland and bring a title there. but we know that he is a pus$y and like he said hes not sure yet- clown kick him out of the league- poor sport loser couldnt he even shake hands with the other team but when they win hes always there doing the interviews and taking credit. the clown was too busy all year long in fourth blowouts pretending to take pictures and all that nonsense and making fun of other teams with his benchwarmer buddies that he didnt know how to play in the fourth qtr cause he never played that qtr all season. i hope he goes to new york cause that will ensure that he never wins a title playing for that clown franchise- you think if PAt Riley couldnt win in New York that he will. The league should force him to play for the clippers and by himself -the guy will NEVER win the title- he is another Karl Malone- mark it down

Seriously though how many teams would not be contenders with Lebron on them? I can think of Sacremento, Milwaukee, Minnesota and Indiana. However I do agree that he will be elsewhere in 2010. Going to be interesting to see how teams start to try and dump cap based on how Lebron, Wade, and Chris Bosh are feeling about their respective teams.

The East is such a joke with the exception of the top 3 teams that anybody can get to the second round at least. As far as the West goes it is a lot harder for him to go there and instantly be a contender. It will be interesting to see who wins the bidding war on him, but the problem is he will get a MAX contract somewhere and cripple his team from having any chance of signing talent around him to win. Even Jordan took a pay cut off of the Max to sign some good role players around him. If Lebron does the smart thing and gets that done then he will win a championship.
