Is he even capable of pitching well anymore? This is from espn.com:

News: Moyer allowed four runs on seven hits over six innings while striking out five and walking two.
Spin: Moyer picked up the loss and allowed another home run but overall felt good about his performance. "I'm back to where I need to be," Moyer told the News Journal. "I threw a lot of good pitches. I was pleased, for the most part, with my command other than the two hitters. Walks kill you. That was the game right there."

The guy gives up 4 runs in 6 innings, he's got a 7.42 ERA, his team has lost four in a row in games he's started and he says THAT?

If the Phillies weren't playing the Nationals I'd be fading Moyer for sure.

    Any thoughts on this?

I've been fading him for three years. Can't say what my record overall against him is. I would guess that it's +. However, it can't be huge. Surprisingly he has good games. so 5 walk 2 is pretty good.

IF I were wagering on the game, I would take the Nationals + money with Lannan on Sunday.

However. I'm staying away, good luck.

That quote makes me laugh out loud. Pride comes before a fall. Watch him get tagged for 7 runs in two innings now.

I think fading Moyer for the first five innings could work out. I wouldn't want the Nationals bull pen factoring into my bet.

I gotta stand up for Moyer. He is one of an ever decreasing number of players in the big sports that is older than me. There is him, Chris Chelios. That might be it.

We old people have ways to get to you so don't fukk with Moyer.

Nationals have some great bats, and Lannan is pretty consistent. Not saying Washington is a great bet or anything, but at +money it makes perfect sense to bet them if you believe Moyer will continue to suck... not sure what you mean by

Today seems like a good a time as any! But good luck with whatever you do.

I'm thinking about Nationals for the first five innings. Thanks!

I'll look to fade Moyer in the future, I can't bring myself to bet on the Nationals on the road.
