Wasn't really cheating, just unsportsmanlike. Serena hit her with the ball, it ricocheted off her elbow into the racket and over the net for a winner, kind of amazing really. However after Serena pegged her she held her hand up to apologize, the point should have been over but the ump didn't see the contact.

The opponent could have said yeah I was hit, but didn't.

reminds me of the golfer last year, who told the officials AFTER the match was over that he had accidently played with an illegal ball, and missed his chance to go to a pro tourney and/or lots of $$$

no one would have known had he not said anything, it had been over for hrs....

Maradona scored a goal with his hand in WC86 and it counted. If the umpire who sits 10 ft from the play didn't call it it's his problem. Shit happens all the time and is no cheating. I mean if you speed with 55mph at a 40mph zone will you drive to the police station and ask to receive a ticket?
