You can say what you want about Anthony, but the guys has and never will be the guy that can consistently carry his team. This league only has two that can do that, and maybe D-wade a distant third.

i agree with your post.to me this was denvers year to do it after being swept by the spurs a year ago,and martin acting like a total jackass during the clippers series the year before that.carmelo is way to inconsistant with his shoots,and chauncey suold have not even showed up for the laker series.i guess that why you have contenders,and pretenders.

they werent gonna beat the celtics, cavs or magic with billups.
trading for iverson was a win win situation
if it worked the trade is good, if it doesnt, they have his cap space
how long do u expect billups to play at a high level?

I agree with your post except I think you don't have D-Wade as a distant third. He has proven that he can carry his team to a championship something that Lebron has yet to prove. D-Wade in the finals was one of the most amazing Finals I have ever witnessed. He led Miami back from HUGE deficits to save them and win the championship. Kobe and Lebron have proven they can carry teams even crappy ones to the postseason and farther though you are right about that.

So did Christian Laetner and that doesn't mean much in the Pros. I think Melo can lead a team to a championship, but not as well as Kobe, Lebron, or Wade. I think Howard can lead a team to a championship as well there are just so many GREAT players right now the NBA is more talented than I have ever seen or remember. It is to bad that most of the stars are babys that think they get fouled every dang time they attack the basket.

Laettner had at least 7 teammates that were drafted into the NBA. Carmelo had just 1. Not to mention he was just a freshman.

The thing about Anyting that bothers me is he laughs too much on the court and lacks the killer instinct, of course he is a great offensive talent but there is something about him that does not make him big time.

Good point. Dumars gets crapped on alot for a man that put together a championship team. You get a 5 year grace period once you win. Lets see what he can do to rebuild the pistons with all that cap space.....
