Played roulette at the Horseshoe tonight, won a little bit. Just wondering what your strategy is at that game if you play?

i love to go to the roulette tables just to see these chinamen looking at the board and then saying, look, 4 straight reds have come up, bet the black now, it's due.. lol

these guys really think that by tracking each spin, they have an advantage.. they don't realize the house has a 5.26% edge still.. in sports, when you lay -110, the house has a 4.54% edge.. that means roulette is way worse than sports and they lose it faster cause in sports, it's a few hrs a night with a few games.. but roulette, it's a spin every 45 seconds.. ouch.. so if they hang out there for 11 hrs, it's like betting on hundreds of games a night, it's similar to betting almost 1,000 games a day, laying well over -110.. lol lol

i feel sorry for people that are hooked on this game. they have ZERO chance of not going broke.

As has already been explained betting the roulette means you have a 4.5% disadvantage. So, don't bet the roulette. If somehow you must play the roulette and you have X dollars you want to throw away the best way to bet it is bet all of it in one time. This way you minimise your disadvantage. I think this is the least stupid way to play anything where the odds are against you.

All wheels are biased and if you can smuggle sophisticated equipment into the casino (to run the programs and do the calculations as well as monitor movement of the physical table (day to day) an edge can definetely be found and exploited....its been done in the past.

Hence why they put the number board up there lol...if there was an edge by following the china way they wouldnt allow you to write down numbers or provide a board.

Kind of like how they give out black jack strategy cards in the bookstore
