Not for real..no depth and the Cards and Cubs will beat them down over the nest month...

What in the hell is going on with Dusty and the Reds? They are supposed to be selling off assets by now.

they are now just a week after my last post here in 5th place .5 of a game out of last...big drop in last few games already...just because they might finally win their second game in last six does not mean much!

Not sure why anyone thinks they will fade.

They have three really strong arms....Cueto/Harang/Volquez, and arguably a top-3 NL Bullpen. Cordero has not blown a save, and check out their three relievers....Rhodes/Herrera/Masset....all have ERAs under 2.

They are 19-13 against the other central teams...with winning records against the Cubbies and Cards.

They are doing all of this without two of their best players. Votto is on the DL, and so is Encarnacion. When they get those two bats back in the lineup they will be better.

I expect the Reds to be there until the last week of the season.

They have one of the top 5 rotations in baseball and a top 3 bullpen. The defense has been upgraded. With Votto and Phillips healthy, they should make the playoffs.

Reds are for real. But I do not think they will make playoffs this year. They will fight to the end. However, next year is their year!!!

                    Nice rotation: Harang/Volquez/CUETO/Arroyo/Owings

Bull Pen is solid this year I believe its top 4 in ERA!

Rhodes --Weathers---Cordero have been lights out in the pen.

The offense is decent when healthy. Bunch of young guys stepping it up. Ramon Hernandez has been a huge pick up to this team.

Once we get Volquez, Votto and Encarnacion back we should be even stronger! This is a young team with alot of young talent.

Actually yes...I think with Milwaukee and St L. playing ok and the Cubs are due to start playing a little better... Lets see how the next 20 games from today go... I see some downside potential now..going toward the all star break... But there are easier tesms to fade... GL G.

If they lose today with Cueto on the mound, then the tailspin is official.

Yep. Tonight the Reds are expected to be broomed out of town by the Dodgers.

I really expected the Reds to be where the Astros are right now, and the Astros to be where the Reds are. Funny game.
