You mean that a HMO health maintenance organization, pension fund for employees and social service agency for employees that just so happens to make vehicles as an afterthought sideline subsidiary is going bust!Wow,you could drop me over with a feather as to how that business plan would fail.I'm utterly dumbfounded and at a loss for words!!!The management just gave in to every employee demand because they wanted to keep their plush jobs with golden parachutes long enough to get the hell out of Dodge with their ill gotten gains. The hourly union guys like to blame it all on management looting the company but the percentages of what management looted as to what they had to give hourly was miniscule.Hell,I know guys that worked for these companies that married strippers and such with kids that needed brain surgery where they adopted the kids and the company had to pick up the tab of a few hundred grand for each operation. If you figure how many hourly guys that work for GM did this kind of stuff similar to this,it all adds up to serious$$$$$$ being spent. So the product quality suffers, cost of product goes up= bankrupt company no one wants to buy a car from.Do you think car companies in India like the new TATA car or whatever the hell that spec car is called will put up with employees that pull that crap?Hell no!Twenty years from now when everyone is driving a TATA and GM cars are no more, people will say,how did that happen where we have no GM cars being made.

The SOL ''shit out of luck club''who you never hear whining in these tug of war union-management collapses of companies are the stock holders and now even bond holders under Obama's reign. These are the people who have the most reason to piss and moan as to who got hosed the most and their little squeeks of voicing out about it fall on deaf ears.

I have alot of relatives that are working or have worked mostly as hourly, some as management in all the car and steel companies that went under so in real life I can't say what I'm saying here because I would be dead by noon.hehe!I dred going to family functions and now with graduation upon us it's more like attending a union meeting than a celebration of someone's achievement listening to union rhetoric and talking shop.More of my relatives are making as much off the public tit collecting pensions from the pension guaranty corporation, social security and medicare than they did when they were working. All are bankrupted glorified welfare agencies that they never contributed as much into as they took out of and they still whine they are being hosed.

If there is someone to be felt sorry for in this country,it's a kid without special rights that comes from a sort of low breau family just graduating from high school that's going to be a wage slave in a true private sector job. They will carry the burden of all past sins and the burden of every failed program on their backs the rest of their lives. They are members of the SOL ''Shit out of luck''club too. They will only have enough money left over after each paycheck after paying rental on a shack apartment to buy generic chips and play outdated cheap video games and the government will run ads scolding them about being underachieving slobs that aren't good american team players.

Then the union guys vote into office democrats because they look out for their social service welfare rights and in return, the democrats go after the companies for polution violations and imposing environmental regulations on them and the companies have another straw that broke the camels back placed on them. That along with raising the company's taxes, imposing gay marriage benefits on the companies.etc.The union guys are cutting their own throats by voting these people into office. Then having Tony Soprano and Pauley Walnuts running your union is really a big help to your cause.Just think of the money thrown down that rathole contributing to those thugs that made the company more uncompetitive.Company says to union guy, where did all the money go for you guys to get a part of when you got laid off that we contributed to your union.Oh,Pauley Walnuts blew it in Vegas and Tony Soprano's son in law needed a no show job.

I worked in the iron ''taconite''mine Ford partially owned right out of high school.I think every Ford and GM vehicle ever made up until recently was made from steel that came from the ground within 3 miles from where I live. One summer I was probationary labor where I had to pay union dues but wasn't in the union. You had to work 6 months to be in the union but they took dues anyway. Then the next couple summers I worked salary as an engineers gopher.I had alot of relatives there mostly union-hourly and some salary.Alot of the union guys were salt of the earth guys almost like Mormons and such honest as the day is long but there were alot of renegades that screwed and tattoed the company in every possible way.It was a real sesspool. The company went bankrupt and reorganized for alot of reasons but one was because union member women working there sued the company because their union member brothers were harrassing them. There was a movie starring Woody Harrelson dealing with this. The company lost a ton of $$$$$$$.So why is it the company's problem that the union guys were harrassing the union women?Shouldn't that have been a union matter? There were about 20 women there when I was there and half were ok people and the other ten were sluts. One even sold all the girlie magazines under tarnation at her store. All the sluts suddenly turned into babes in the woods when it came to winning a lawsuit. The grandmotherly homebody housewife types were never bothered,it was just that gals that would dance on table tops at 1 am at the local meet market that were harrassed.

Funniest thing I ever remember from that job was when the Detroit big wigs came up without warning. All the guys on salary in the engineering department were slackers that got the projects done with one second to spare.Nice guys but a bunch of goof offs that played around all week and then put their noses to the grindstone for a couple days.It was a real casual atmosphere where everyone wore t-shirts and jeans. The plant superintendent comes running in the engineers room all in a lather.Guys, hurry up and put these ties on,Henry Ford jr.and all the muckety mucks are here from Detroit. You have never seen something as stupid as 20 guys wearing t-shirts and jeans with ties on.Where they got the ties that quick I'll never know.Later that night they were wined and dined at the company cabin and went golfing and I guess Ford that owns the Lions is a real jerk.A reporter from the paper wanted to take some photos when they just got to the course and Ford assumed the guy was some vallet ''as if we have vallet's at the course I live by.hehe!'' and said, here son, take my bag and be careful with it and didn't even give him a tip.So the reporter did what he was told and ran a funny piece about it.

Then there was a rumor where one of the guys that was a kiss ass in local management got drunk at late night cocktail party and fell asleep or barfed in his soup bowl. What goes on where I live is like Caddy Shack all year round.hehe!

There used to be a Holiday Inn near the mine where the mine conducted all it's meetings that turned into food fests and drinking binges. One of the guys got so tanked he imagined that guys were shooting at him with rifles from the next door USA hockey hall of fame the mine suppoorted.

Foreman at work would drive to the local Dairy Queen on hot summer days to meet their misstresses. It was like a friggin circus.Everything unusual and outrageous you could think of took place there. On midnights everyone was sleeping. The trains coming to pick up ore would get overloaded where idiots like me had to clean it up the next day.Fist fights would take place in the ore crusher control room where 200 ton WABCO production trucks were unloading ore.Guys were falling into the control panel hitting buttons and the crusher would plug.Everybody was on the take stealing stuff and throwing it over the fence to pick up later. There was so much leniency and naiveity on the the company's behalf. The theme song for the place could have been Allice Cooper's School's out forever.

They used to have this joke of a Tom Ridge Homeland security color coded system for employees permanent record goof ups.You had to have come to work smashed for the 3rd time before there was a possibility of you getting fired. One guy that drove production truck got killed when he was totally drunk and his wife sued the company saying that someone should have noticed he was drunk. When you are a drunk where you have to make a living to buy more booze, you tend to be able to hide the fact you are drunk. If the company would have said,we think you are drunk and he wasn't,they would probably have been sued?

It was like the movie One Flew Over The Kuckoos Nest being crossed with the sitcom Green Acres. They could do a sitcom or reality on the show as to how it used to be run.Now the Chinese took over management and the state, local and probably even federal government helped finance the deal.Absolute no nonsense,no B.S.place to work for now. Here all the union guys are always pissed off about people buying foreign cars and they are working for Chinese company getting tax payer subsidies where they send the ore to China to turn it into cheap crap selling it at Wal Mart back here. Our democrats here also helped Northwest Airlines with absolute tons of free taxpayer $$$$$$$$$$$$$$ and they bought all foreign subsidised Air Busses and not Boeing U.S.made planes.

This is what they offered me for my GM bonds. Told them fvck off. Now I kind of wished I would of taken it.

                      Dear John,

General Motors Corp, facing a June 1, 2009 deadline to restructure or file for bankruptcy, fell to its lowest in New York trading since 1933 after the automaker reported yesterday that six executives sold their shares.

GM declined USD 0.32 or 22 percent to USD 1.12 at 12:22 pm.

GM came with quarterly earnings report on May 7th, 2009.

One of the options General Motors is providing the client actually is to exchange the bond you own into shares of General Motors.

The term is that you will receive 225 shares of GM Common stock for every $1,000 principal amount of the Company’s outstanding 7.7% General Motors Notes exchanged.

Prior to the distribution of GM Common stock to tendering holders on the settlement date, GM intends to effect a 1-for-100 Reverse Stock Split of GM Common stock.

                      For example:

USD 1,000 equivalent amount of old notes would be exchanged for 225 shares of GM Common Stock would be exchanged for 225 shares of GM common stock which would be converted to 2 shares of GM Common stock after the reverse stock split and the rounding down on fractional shares occur.

This is an option you can choose; please let us know at your earliest convenience, but before May 26th, 2009 what you would like to do.

I wonder what Deuce has to say about this since he was pleading for a handout for "Goverment Motors" claiming without it it would cause Great Depression II.

It's like installing new carpeting on the Titantic.

I have some shares with them. Should've sold yesterday at the spike. Hopefully it jumps up again today and I can get out. This is going to be more disastrous for the economy than the people think.

Furthermore,,,the Hanson ''2 Carlson''brothers grew up a mile away from this place so picture a plant-mine full of Hanson brothers from the movie Slapshot as a majority of the union employees and Colonel Klink and Sergeant Schultz as the management.

Watch the movie North Country with Woody Harrelson and Charlize Theron and see what it's like here.OK,they exagerated a bit but it's close. It's sort of funky like the town in Northern Exposure too.We have places like the only Jamaican restaurant north of the twin cities etc.I saw Harrelson and Theron there a number of times.I don't think he drank?because he never was in the bar but she was pounding down Red Stripes.Nice looking but she's a lefty dyke I think.hehe!

The movie company saved alot of money because the extras didn't need clothing that fit the scheme of the movie, they already had their day to day jackpine savage ''Fargo''daily wear clothes.

Hit upon a good Fargo scene recently.I was driving back from Winnipeg a few weeks back when the ice was melting on Lake of the Woods in the town of Warroad. They have a casino at the boat ramp sort of like the casino in that movie with Ben Afleck where Vegas mob people are out of place running it in the northwoods.I was wondering what the sam hell is taking place at the boat ramp where the whole town turned out.Everyone had their bomber fur hats on with the big ear flaps and it looked like a scene right out of Fargo. Some redneck with a brand new Hemmy pickup went through the ice and was ok but the tow truck was there getting it out.It was the biggest event in Warroad in many a year!Everyone up that way actually does talk like the people in Fargo do.Where I live they talk like the Hanson Brothers.

As strange as this area of the world is,it draws attention from all over the place.Wayne Gretzkey was looking at buying a cabin here because Brett Hull has one and Tony Soprano bought a bunch of land in Manitoba to build a cabin.I think normal people are amuzed at this area for how backwoods it is.Then we have the gay guys flower shop emporium that draws in customers from all over the place. They are like the gay guys on Northern Exposure that run the bed and breakfast. They put up this winter wonderland in the old defunct curling club they bought in town. Some say the movie Hoosiers was based on the high school team here in 1951 that won the state tourney over the big twin cities schools.Bernie Kukar was a referee in the NFL and was the head ref in a few super bowls. On 4th of July we have a huge parade because the town was supposed to become huge in the early 1900's and they built the main street really wide.It hit a high point of 2700 and has been below 2000 for decades. You walk around on the 4th and you see Mac Gyver walking around, idiot Al Franken.pro wrestler The Iron Shiek from Iraq that grew up with Sadaam lives here.etc.It's just a weird place.I walk into the local Pamida store and a guy that looks like Herman Munster is buying bird shot,,oh,it's Kevin ** Hale. Then you have Bob Dylan and Roger Marris from here who everyone got mad at because Dylan said he was from New Mexico and Marris Fargo.Don't blame them for not admitting being from here.Judy Garland's from here and they put on a big splash every summer for the dope addict with Mickey Rooney and the surviving Munchkins showing up.Confusing for kids to know which is which.Someone broke into the museum and stole the ruby red slippers.
