I'll ask him next time I talk to him. But I think it's just the fact that he's an immigrant and he's concerned that she is hostile to immigrants. When you say "they", I imagine he doesn't feel like he's part of 'they' since he's only been there for several years and while he's a resident, he isn't yet a citizen of France. And doesn't even have a vote.

doesn't matter much who wins, Le Pen wins the next election either way. In the scale of time what is 4 or 5 years? blink of an eye
either France gets their shit together tomorrow or they tread water for 5 years and then Le Pen wins.
Macron = obama
there is a reason they had the same campaign organizer... and you can't have a president like trump or Le Pen without having a TERRIBLE president to wake up the nation first like obama and macron. So if macron wins it's not a bad thing for France, it is just a little medicine they need to take before they get fixed up.

I agree.
If Trump does not f-ck up and does fairly well with his country, and UK finds growth again, I can't see how France could stay in the EU any longer. 2022 will tell. But Macron wins tonight, it is a lock now.

Three projections, issued within minutes of polling stations closing at 8 p.m. (2 p.m. ET), showed Macron beating Le Pen by around 65 percent to 35 - a gap wider than the 20 or so percentage points that pre-election surveys had pointed to
I never knew that France had a much better educational system than the US. Who knew?

I don't believe that's what's left of the real French citizenry will allow their culture and heritage to be displaced by a Rothchild banker.
French resistance 2.0 should be cued in, oh, I would say, about 5 years.

Marine Le Pen received the backing of 44% of young French voters aged 18 – 24.
OpinionWay data shows that the Le Pen was most popular amongst youngsters and that by comparison Emmanuel Macron receiving the backing of 80% of those aged 65 and over.
The incredible contrast demonstrates how increasingly it is young voters across the continent feeling the impact of mass migration and seeking candidates who will stand up for strong border controls and economic patriotism.
She will likely win in 2022

I think Le Pen being female hurt her. This whole Brexit/Trump movement was a reversion to traditional values and a female leader just isn't that. Not that there haven't been some capable female conservative traditional leaders (Thatcher) but the face of the female politician these days is Merkel and Hillary so being female just doesn't psychologically pair with the current movement that well.

Who's gonna take in French refugees when they flee what used to be their country? (Stay strong, Vladdy) Will there be self-righteous wailing on CNN? We'll see what happens, brother.

Le Pen had no shot in this election. The only surprise was Macron being generously quoted at -1000, (not that any bookie would let you wager serious money on Macron).

France has turned into an Arab colony,if Trump can win,I don't see how LePen didn't have a fighters chance. Cant go by polls as the past year has taught us.

I definitely would bet on Le Pen if there were not 9 million Mussies in France. They will vote
for the Macron guy 98% to 2%. That's the only reason he wins if he wins. The ethnic French
will vote for Le Pen big time but it may not be enough.
