They take games off, kind of a SoCal tradition. But they won't take this game off.

You might be right John.
USC still has to beat UCLA next week first, although odds are they will. That extremely long layoff could be devistating to OSU in the championship game though. USC has all the experience in these types of games in recent years, and it's hard to bet against that type of success when there talent level is so enriched again this year.
Personally though i'd like to see USC lose so Michigan backs in to that championship game.

I do not think USC will move the ball enough against Ohio State, ND might be the worst top 20 team ever and had no defense.

I learnt my lesson last yr on betting heavy ON USC in championship bowl gm. I'm waiting on the locals out here on the west coast and will most likely take OSU

With the bizarrely long layoff, the teams will be way out of their normal rhythm. The game becomes more of a toss-up making the dog the better play IMO.

Certainly possible, but no way I bet against Ohio State unless I get an amazing price.

Tressel knows how to win the big game, bowl game, michigan game, whatever. The Buckeyes will be ready and I'm sure USC will be, but USC will struggle to win this game. If you take them, I could only question your reasoning. If anything take the spread and steer clear of the USC ML.

I think USC has better athletes but certainly not at QB and wide receiver. USC does seem to take games off and that’s a real concern to USC backers. OSU has only had one maybe two lax performances all year.
I just like USC prepping for this game as a dog and playing as a dog. They were in this game last year as well. OSU has not been physically out matched all year although Michigan and Texas came close in a few areas.
Both teams are young which is scary for the rest of the NCAA. I just think USC will have too many winning matchups on both sides of the ball and will win the game. The ML looks like the play to me.

My only advice is to listen to dave, he know's his Buckeyes.

Hmm lets seee... Well, I did predict Texas would beat USC. Thats true.
Then early in the year, as in week 2, predicted Ohio St would win it all this year. But after watching USC come together since their loss I think its time to change horses. I've seen them both play in-person.
Of course if USC losses to UCLA then I smell like grandma's leftover stuffing with 10 days of funk on it.

Yummy. I love stuffing.
Oh, I should stay on topic. My pertinent comment is: Ohio State will win and cover.
Good luck to the Condom Backers. I believe you'll need it.

Ohio St will not lose to USC
As good as USC has looked, the game is not in the Coliseum and Troy Smith & Co will be a little bit harder than Oregon St.
Lets not forget how overrated ND really is. Michigan torched them at South Bend, far worse than what USC did. If you watched both games, then you know what I am talking about.

This is a great post because it is so true. Both exciting coaches with minds of their own.
And, austin, ND is so overrated it is sickening. USC will not win this game (keep in mind Tressel has a different outlook on football games and is a master of keeping his boys focused). I am not against people taking the spread because OSU keeps games like this close, but the ML is a waste of money IMO.

Pags - Of course USC has a shot. Any team does, just like when Michigan had a shot to win at the horshoe. Wasn't a great shot, but a shot nonetheless. This comes down again to defense. Can USC defend a mobile QB like Smith.
They couldn't do it last year.

When USC spanked Arkansas, they were playing in Fayetteville, were they not?
Since than USC has had quite a few issues with injuries, and they are now finally getting healthy. This can be seen in their recent uptrend in form.
USC wins against OSU.
