The NBA game today is more taxing than ever before. And it will continue to get tougher and tougher on the body. The bigger/stronger/more athletic these players get, the harder it is on their bodies. Go back and watch a game from the 80s. The defense was laughable back then.

Yep, the only way you get better as a team is by playing every day and practicing..

Unless you are an aging player like some of them on the Spurs and on a back to back nights you shouldn't get days off.. Back in the day players like Michael Jordan, Magic and Bird didn't get days off because they requested them. They even played thru pain and soreness as they owed it to the paying fans.. They didn't have the comfy shoes, therapy and treatment back then like they have today either...
