Boy Mike Hampton is the Definition of Fail

Hampton cut his thumb on a soap dispenser last Sunday while showering in the visitors' clubhouse at Wrigley Field, and two days later, he was forced to exit his start against the Brewers after four innings. The wound is small, about the size of a paper cut. But even something that miniscule can wreak havoc on a pitcher's delivery if he cannot get the proper feel of his pitches.

this guy is the luckiest guy alive.had a few good years with houston,and colorado.i know he played for the mets,cant remember how that turned out.braves signed him for one of the biggest contracts ever.jackass missed the whole season.i agree that he is a failure,but hes laughing all the way to the bank.

Pitchers should wear oven mitts at all times!

It reminds me of how George Castanza became a highly paid hand model and finally found his road to riches and wore oven mitts at all times to protect his future.Then when he took them off,he got pushed and grasped onto an electric oven element to break his fall.

Anyone ever watch wild west tech with Kung Fu Caradine?They did a segment on bare knuckle boxing last week.The guys in the 1800's would fight for 50 rounds and rarely break their hands and knuckles even though their eye sockets would be busted.They didn't throw horizontal punches with bare knuckles because they knew it would bust up their hands.

Hampton has been doing this schtick for years. When his pitching sucks he injures himself to get on DL and still get paid. He once pulled a pectoral muscle in Atlanta while lifting up his underwear after pooping. If this was football, basketball or soccer they would have fired his ass.
