#45Serra did the most damage, Hughes won it with his ONE DEMTIONAL wrestling skills. He landed one good shot , then laid and prayed. What a boring fight and i hate to see guys win like that.Comment -

#46Agreed Hughes won by LnP but I didn't think the fight was too boring. I bet Hughes so I was anxious every time the fight got stood up because I thought Serra was going to knock Hughes head off. In the Sonnen Miller fight, it was predictable and had zero chance of the fight being finished.
Just going to throw it out there but I think the trend of boring fights may continue. The undercard started off with a bang (only one decision) but the main card the exact opposite. I don't think this is a spoiler but if it is, somoene let me know and i'll take it off.Comment -

#56hes so legit, and all the haters need to recognize greatness. anderson silva is going to have to fight him at 205 to challenge him. rampage is going to be the first title defense and i love rampage but i dont think he can beat him.Comment -

#57They won't fight. They both fight out of Black House and said they won't fight each other. Let's just hope GSP beats Alves and then collides with Silva. Also, 205 has actual contenders unlike 185 so Machida has guys to fight.Comment -

#60LOL, just read on Sherdog Yves Lavigne had another bad stopage in the Nover Bradley fight. No wonder he got boo'd at the begining of the McFedries Foupa-Pokam fight, which was a close call aswellComment -

#64Forrest Griffen is supposed to fight Anderson Silva next. It's Silva's last fight on his UFC contract. GSP may not get the shot at him if he doesn't re-sign.Comment -

#65Nah, I don't think so. If that wasn't stopped, Professor X was going to be put to sleep. I think the best indication of that was when the ref stepped in, he didn't stop fighting and protest, he just kept fighting like he had no idea what was going on and was going straight off instinct. That's at least what I thought when I saw it live but I'll watch it again right now.Comment -

#66Yeah, the stop was legitimate. He got dropped repeatedly and was actually given two chances to fight on even though he was put on his ass and went stiff. It's like Pavlik vs. Taylor 1 when Kelly got dropped twice and survived. If that was MMA, fight's done because he was definitely on queer street.
That's a good call on this fight being Silva's last fight on his UFC contract. It's surprising because the UFC usually makes you sign an extension when you have one fight left. If you hold out, they freeze you out a la Andrei Arlovski. I'm sure though that they'll resign him, especially after he KOs Forrest. As much as Forrest is a gamer, he has a suspect chin, likes to brawl, and Anderson Silva has no pressure in this fight because the belts on the line. If you ask me, it's a recipie for an exciting fight and Anderson Silva highlight KO.Comment -

#67It will be interesting to see who gets a title shot after Rampage vs Machida. Winner of Griffin/A Silva, or ShoGun if he can get another win vs some like Evans, Vera or winner of Jardine/T SilvaComment -

#68If I had to speculate I'd say Shogun. Everyone else is trying to put together a string of impressive victories while he just retired Chuck. I can see the UFC matching Shogun up against someone like Jardine first to get another win on his record against someone who isn't completely overmatched and to keep him busy while Machida fights Rampage.Comment -

#69Something I just thought of...If Machida fights Rampage and dismantles him and then fights Shogun and beats him, who's left? He's going to clear out the 205 division like GSP did/will in the 170. There will be solid fighters in each division but numero uno will be on a level all by himself. Of course this is all further down the road.Comment -
