    SBR Golf Corner!
Well boys, hit the course for the 2nd time this season. Started off very slow +3 thru 6 and finished with 69. 6 birdies on the back side, what a beautiful day to be on the link. The crazy thing was this was the first sober round of golf I have played in over a year, because I was playing with my dad.

Anyone else get out for some golf this season so far, know one really talks about golf much on this board?

I am ready for the SBR golf tournament.

I have gotten out 3 or 4 times this year already....I am definitely no where near the golf you are though but I am respectable...I am about a bogey golfer...

nothing wrong with that man, all my friends play around bogey. Golf is what I do, I played in college and ran a golf course up until i moved this winter so that is all I do for 6 months a year.

But I love the game, out on the course with some drinks. It was a perfect day here today. Most enjoyable.

Would've registered for the SBR tournament if I wasn't such a complete hack. Love to hit balls at the range, but I'm nowhere near consistent enough to play a regular game. About 1 in 4 drives end up rolling 50 yards. Short game is better.

do it anyways, it is for fun man. Who cares how good you are. What is better than having some drinks out in the sun hitting the golf ball around?

I'm credited with discovering 14 new species of plant and 5 new species of animal during various hunts for my golf ball.

                    Thats a super round! Congrads!

I played today and was cruising at +4 through 11 when the wheels fell off. Finished 40,46. Got to get the drive straight and practice my 5 footers and should be ok.

I don't shot that good, but I shot in the low 80s. I haven't played since last yr, had a knee surgery and trying to get back in shape for it again. But hope to be ready by SBR tourny!

thanks John, love golf, i spend all my free time outside of work on the practice area of the local course.

John that is why i started so poorly, couldn't make any mid range putts that i usually make (although i have only played a couple rounds) and then I saw one fall in and after that I was hitting my short irons close and knocked all those putts down.

                        Making putts erases other errors

making a high percentage of 10 feet and in putts are the key to the game. Short game is huge, you practice that at least an hour a day you will be in the 70's, I have no doubts about that, good luck

great Mit, love to see you there, hope you make a full recovery, it is tough to hurt your back or knees because you have to load up on both throughout a golf swing.

I have flat feet so my back gets tight here and there, I am just glad my sister is a massage therapist, it helps because my back can become really bad from time to time, even for a young guy like me, no fun.
