Yes,sir. Put Wings down for quite sometime, fukked everything up with lines, basically played short handed the entire game.

was not clean hit.. he went directly for the face. you don't do that in hockey.it's worse than punching someone in the nuts. you check the body, not the face.. he could have died.

Deuce has no clue about hockey, I have watched so many games in my career and know the rules very well and my buddy coached here in the leagues.

Was as clean as Caroles panties. He buried his shoulder and lead with it, just like you're supposed to. Unreal.

Clean hit, but Kronwall leaves his feet on almost every open ice hit he attempts, sweet irony that the one time he hits a guy clean he is ejected.

Did leave his feet slightly there. Also could have turned and used shoulder instead of forearm. Clean hit but cowardly.

its havlat's responsibility to protect himself, he got caught sleeping on the play. nothing cowardly about giving the guy a wake up call.

The Red Wings are one of my least favorite teams in the NHL, really hate these guys. Chicago is very young and exciting to watch and I am rooting for them to pull off the upset in a big way.

                                  THAT was a clean hit.

Kronwall had his arm firmly jammed against his body. He never lifted his elbow (until well after the hit was laid) and he never left his skates.

There are two rules that every hockey player is taught from day one; don't pass through the middle of the ice, and don't keep your head down. Breaking the first rule results in turnovers, breaking the second results in exactly what you just saw.

Was it a bone crushing hit? Yes. But that doesn't mean it was illegal.

VD the 2nd is easier said than done and we all make mistakes

Ask the millions of Scott Stevens victims. When the puck is in your skates you have to look down.

So true. I swear I was going to post the Scott Stevens video to illustrate a point, but these non-hockey folk would just claim that HIS hits were dirty, too.

This shouldn't be an issue. This is what makes hockey a beautiful sport. Getting nailed in the face adds a whole different dimension to the game. I played hockey every day when I was a kid; I sprained my ankles so many times they are stronger now than normal. One kid lost a finger because he thought pads and gloves weren't necessary. We had a zillion different goofy terms for injuries of every kind. It is a lovely game.

He just said illegal since the puck didn't touch his skates. So he's right there. Cherry didn't really comment on the hit itself. If the puck had touched Havlat's skates I'm not sure what he would have said.

                                              This is true.

I was defending the hit itself, which was a clean hit. No elbow up, no leaving skates.

2 minutes for interference, while unfortunate since the puck was right there, would have been acceptable as by the written rule the player must be in possession of the puck.

But 5 minutes + a game misconduct? An EXTREME overreaction to a clean hit. If Havlat got right up, Kronwall gets 2 minutes interference at most.
