#2Crowds were nice enough in the pre-Jeffrey Loria days, but the stadium itself is/was terrible. When attending, I always felt like I was watching an unfinished product, like there'd be special effects people adding in authentic-looking baseball stuff, like real grass, open sky, etc. for the TV audience.
I'm not Nicky btw.Comment -

#4I remember when they played the Giants, there was always this older couple watching the games in seats out by themselves. They were pouring drinks from a secret compartment in their binoculars. Each telecast in the Montreal was spent trying to find that couple, and they always did find them pouring stiffies out of their binoculars without fail.Comment -

#5in the very late 70's and throughout the 80's, it was the greatest place to be.. 35,000 fans every night and 50,000 on weekends. it was always rowdy.. thinking back to this brings tears to my eyes.. it was the best time to be in montreal.. what great memories... this was the biggest baseball town in north america. even bigger than anywhere else... at one time back then, it was bigger than hockey.. believe it or not... everyone talked expos.. everywhere.. fans sang in french in between innings.. people dancing.. what a time that was..
then the strike came along and it was the end.. we had the best record in baseball that year... then we got rid of everyone, and it was over.. since then, 4,000 fans every night at games, no matter who was in town.. even if it was yankees.. no one cared anymore.. being at the stadium was no longer the same..
well, at least i will always have those great memories of it.. and that will NEVER go away.Comment -

#6I will never forget the day when Sick Gambler invited me to an Expos game during their last season. The kid loved that team and would always go to the games and I think I remember he bet them every night for like $200 the whole season..Comment -
