    My Gout is 80% gone
I'll tell you what, if you want to know what pain is, have gout for a few days, you wouldn't believe how debilitating a big toe can be. The doc gave me some steroids to treat it and i ate cherries all day, along with boat loads of water and this thing has just about cleared out.

I gotta find out why its happening though, i banged my big toe good last week and thought i broke it, but it wasn't a break, it was Gout all along.

Avoid it guys, its a killer.

I have had gout since I was 18 years old. I have an attack a few times a year. I take 400 ** of Allopurinol daily to control my Uric Acid level. When I have a flare up I take Indomethecin and it helps. I know all the pain that Gout can bring. I have had broken bones and Gout is much much worse. It is the worst pain there possibly is.

not sure in my particular case, but in general its High Uric Acid levels in your blood, how it gets to be that way is the mystery.

No allopurinol is prescribed by your doctor. Gout is when your Uric acid level is too high.

                  I have this problem.
Since I was in early 20's
It clears up fast on it's own at first.
After many years it really gets wacky

You shouldn't have attacks if you're taking Allupurinol.

In my experience nothing really helps. Anti-inflamatory eases the pain sometimes. Diet, cherries don't help in my case.

It is very inconsistent, so it's hard to tell if something you're doing is hurting or helping.

That plus the cherries and apple vinegar sider cleared this thing up pretty good. Thank God i only had it in one foot, last time it was in both. I about wanted to get my feet amputated

I've never taken steroids for it.
But if this is only your second attack I'd think it would clear up within a couple days by itself. So I'm not sure if this stuff is helping you.
However, I'm also surprised you'd have an attack on both feet at the same time for your first time.... I guess it depends on the person.

Not too many skinny people have it, that's true. But I was barely overweight. You don't have to be a lard ass. What sucks is when I was maintaining a more gout friendly diet I was having more attacks than ever.

I had gout for many years but now I take what Illini takes, Allupurinol. Havent had a attack since. Leave the booze alone if you have gout problems because that will trigger a attack. Also, Brockif you twist a ankle or something like that it will trigger a attack.

Gout is a motherfukker too isn't it, people who never had it have no idea how painful it is.
