Anyone have the current state inspection stickers hanging around? Gas stations charge 80.

is this like a smog test like out west?or an e check station

Does NJ have something like NY? Every car that is inspected has to be hooked up to a machine and it sends a signal to the Dept of Motor Vehicles with the vin number saying that it passed emission controls and that stickers goes with that car. If you have a fake sticker on your car...you get screwed...

Hard to mimic them. I guess possible if you take a photo of a valid one from another car and then try and print it out.

if you are talking about an emissions sticker...the states keep a record that is linked to your drivers license and I had a buddy get his license suspended for ignoring the test letters. JJ you can afford to lose $20,000 but not get your sticker... I would avoid the suspension and buy it!

JJ, if you are just talking about the regular stickers, not the emissions ones, you can get those off a car window with a blow touch, a little heat and they will peal right off.
