The reason I ended up in Upstate NY originally was that I owed a little over $20,000 in gambling debt to a local bookmaker. I could not pay my debts so I called my grandmother who lived Upstate. She offered to GIVE me a house to own AND pay my debts with the understanding that I move out of NYC for a full year. I agreed. That was 5 years ago. Since than, I have moved out of here 4 different times, gotten back with the girl I started dating here 4 different times and sold the house. I have not owed a bookmaker since.

i have never asked my parents for a dime when it comes to gambling aside from one time. If they found out I would have to admit my addiction. But i asked my dad to borrow 500$ when UNC played at duke and they were -2 and i put 700 on them. I gave my dad the 500$ back + another 100 and he was in complete shock and assummed it was from the casino but never really asked. My friends on the other hand are all rich bastards who have all asked for well over 300+$ and their parents give it to them everytime
