We're gonna have a combo pick page, BigMoneyMan. That way we can do it as a collaboration. It'll make the page very strong. It is a very easy sport to handicap.

I'm interested too... all I ever hear is how easy it is to beat the WNBA. What're the general reasons for this though?? It can't be free money right? What makes it easier to bet girls than guys?

What makes it easier is the sport is not as popular. You get your few die hard WNBA fans who bet their teams and not many sharps who actually make the oddsmakers have to work on the lines. Once you start following the league you will understand.

If my baseball betting doesn't do so well I'll have to bet on the WNBA. I need something to bet on until NFL season. I really just started betting not to long ago so I can't take a vacation lol.

                      This sounds interesting.
I've never bet WNBA before. Since baseball has been giving me the shaft big time I'm willing to try something new.

I'm with ya P. I watched a WNBA game once. I saw 7 minutes of clock eaten up and not 1 basket. I saw about 15-20 bricks though. I am very interested General.

According to reports concerning attendance for WNBA games and particularly the less than 8000 fans at game 1 of the WNBA finals Tuesday, there is a great concern about how long the WNBA will still be able to support itself and remain a League at all. Very interesting to me in that many sportsmen think the WNBA produces tremendous basketball and is much better than the Men's version.

Indiana Pacers are bleeding money. Indiana Fever in the finals right now.

The General, they had over 18,000 in Game 3 semi-finals and 12,000 for Game 1 but they scheduled it at fvcking 6pm - who will make that sh*t on a weekday?

NBA is superior to WNBA. Not being sexist but it's just a gender thing. However, gotta keep in mind the WNBA is still young - NBA was shit all when it was only 10 years old.

I've been watching it this season and I gotta say game 1 of the finals was better than any game the good for nothing Suns have put on all last season.

This is where the moneys at.

I really hope the WNBA is around a long time. ESPN's Around the horn (or Pardon the interruption) this afternoon expressed concern over the overall attendance in the league and discussed the possibility of it's non-existence with the women stars having to go to Europe to play in the near future. Hope that is not the case and they were wrong. I really enjoy the game and the women better than the men because we, to often, see how the men just take breaks and do not give full effort until they feel like it. I started following the WNBA approx back in 2000 when the Sparks were winning every game and their ML's were gold for 2 straight seasons.

Overall attendance has gone up, and in terms of ratings for last night, it was up about 38% if I can recall correctly.

From what I've heard, the players are already going to Europe to play in the off season. Diana Taurasi makes about 700,000 playing in the off season Russian league there along with other players.

I don't know how valid the opinions of ESPN reporters are but they are already locking in an expansion in Tulsa next season. If the league were in trouble, I'm not sure if they would be putting their resources into starting up the Tulsa franchise.

Also, the earlier comment about it being heavily subsidised by the NBA is confusing. I know that the Seattle franchise is owned by a community group - they kept it alive after the previous owner of the Sonics and Storm wanted to move both teams to Oklahoma so I am pretty sure most, if not all, the teams are not subsidised by the NBA.

I used to be part of the majority who didn't give the league a second of my time but I'm glad that I haven't been so ignorant this year and gave it a chance.

The General, you got any leans for tomorrow's game mate?

No, at this point in the season, I can see either team winning.

                                    Good luck to you
