Exactly. People don't understand that Shaq's job was to get double teamed so Kobe can get open shots and drives to the lane. Now that Kobe is double teamed it shows he can't win a championship on his own.

Also Denver is playing better as the playoffs progress and Lakers play worse so any advantage the Lakers had before the playoffs has disappeared. Denver will not lose at home and by winning tonight in emphatic fashion in LA this series will be over before it started.

I think both sides cancel each other out.

Kobe and Chauncey are both incredible defenders, obviously Melo is the most potent scorer of either team but again, I expect to see a lot of unders in this series as I don't think guys are going to get off for 40 points.

Guys act like this divorce happened, last year.

          Its been 7 years, already.

Do you honestly think if Shaq was in LA, now, that he would put them over the top.
Shaq didn't get anything done with Steve Nash, this year.

If the Lakers don't win, its not because Shaq isn't their to draw the double team.
Alot of shit has happened in 7 years.

I think what we are saying is that Kobe only won a championship when he was teamed with Shaq at his prime.

Shaq wouldn't have helped him this year but if Howard was playing for the Lakers this year (which was Shaq 7-9 years ago) they would have cruised to win the championship this year.

Yeah, they definitely, cruised, back then.

Lakers could have won it, last year, but that was a highly rigged up Celtics team

No team has got a lock on it, this year.
No team has got a lock on it, since the Lakers, over half a decade ago

Wouldn't count the Lakers out, just yet.

Took highly fine tuned team in the Pistons to dismantle the Lakers
Yet we got Chauncey getting the Nuggets, this far, they could do it

Cavs are unstoppable at home, they could do it

Don't like the Kobe can't win without Shaq reference
              That gets annoying
Lakers got a good team, Gasol, Odon, Farmar, Fisher, Ariza, good team
If they don't do it, its not because Shaq isn't their to draw the double team

That is true of practically any former superstar NBA champion. MJ always had Pippen without him it was two years not in the playoffs. Magic had Kareem, Russell had EVERYBODY, Duncan had Robinson then Parker, etc. the list goes on and on that is a horrible argument as the only reason Kobe won is due to Shaq. The only reason Shaq won is, because of Kobe it is a team sport and like it or not they both needed each other to win.
