Lakers and Nuggets the 2 best home court advantages in the league

I say Lakers because they play in front of all those celebrities. If you play well you get to be with famous actresses. The prescence of celebrities makes you bust your ass much more than a stadium full of rednecks.

I say Nuggets because just like their football counterpart, there is a chemical that develops in your body when you stay in high altitudes for a couple weeks that allows more oxygen to be carried to your whole body. This of course is a huge advantage in athletics. Every person who lives in high altitudes gets this chemical but it only helps in athletics from what I know of.

This advantage does not go away when they leave Denver either, it allows them to play better at low altitudes where they still get more oxygen to their tissues than the other team.

Its why you hear of athletes sleeping in chambers. They want the chemical to develop.

This advantage is what led to the Broncos being able to run over people and have like 4 different running backs lead the league in yards in a row.

As I said in several threads, Lakers in 7 with the home team winning every game, I agree that the Nuggets have the biggest home court advantage in the NBA, but I would not put Lakers' home court in top two because Lakers win those games simply because they are better than other teams. Utah has a bigger home variance than LA, and there are probably a couple of other teams.

Blood doping isn't illegal in the NBA

I do believe there is something to the Denver teams having an advantage because of the high altitude. I just never knew to what degree.

The Nuggets have a potential advantage over the Lakers because living at a higher altitude the Nuggets have more red blood cells. This is because the atmospheric pressure is less at higher altitudes... so there is less oxygen at higher altitudes. Thus, people that live at high altitudes produce more red cell to compensate for this (it's called reactive polycythemia). People visiting high altitudes compensate for this by breathing deeper and faster to oxygenate their tissues.

This why in the in the past professional boxers trained in the mountains in preparation for the fight.

There is an answer for the Lakers for this problem: Blood doping!

Blood doping is just giving red blood cells. It's illegal in some sports and definitely in the Olympics. However, I don't think it's illegal in the NBA. There is nothing unnatural in the blood... it's just blood. Plus it's not detectable.

I could almost guarantee that the Lakers are going to do it... it's just smart.
