Too many people overreacting to this. Duke has been a victim of injuries and are missing their hall of fame coach. They have young players that haven't played a ton with each other because several have been sitting out due to injuries. If this was March 1st and they were playing like this then ya fans would have a good reason to worry but it is not. Coach K will be back and has well over a month to prepare for the tournament. Are they the Duke everyone expected at the beginning of the season with all these great players? No, but I can almost guarantee by the end of February this will be a whole different team than what we are seeing now.

If anything this loss tonight just shows how ridiculous the ACC is this year. There is no easy wins, not one team in the league is a cupcake. You either show up to play or you will not win, period.

Like I said all along from before the season started.. Duke has talented freshmen that are injury prone and were already dealing with injuries early on. I don't expect that to end anytime soon.

Also, they don't have a natural point guard, and no team wins the tourney without a great PG, let alone a true PG at the least.

A lot of things are wrong with Duke, from Giles, Tatum and Bolden being injured to start the year and then the injury to Jefferson. Giles did not play basketball his senior year and was still the number one recruit. He is still not basketball ready and is decent but far from what Duke thought he would be. Bolden number 16 recruit is just not that good. Tatum is the best of the big three but not much of a team player. He has not played well with Kennard and Allen. Frank Jackson should be running the point over Matt Jones and Allen. Duke always does this crap letting shooting guards run the point. Duke will be lucky to make past the sweet sixteen.

Ive been a DUKE fan 30 years, this team will not be winning in March. They played better with out Giles and Bolden.

they lack a go to guy. Grayson was suppose to be that guy but his issues have affected his play and you can see its also affected how the refs view him. He definitely isnt getting calls anymore. If Grayson can get back on track theyll be better but they wont be anything without coach k. Capel is not a good head coach in my opinion

They are definitely missing their coach. College hoop coaches I think have the biggest effect than any other sport. Maybe college football is right there,

Well while I believe they will be a formidable team come tournament time, I also agree with Dom in the the area of PG play. This team has to address this situation if they are to reach a final four. Obviously it doesn't hurt that Duke has one of the greatest coaches of all time but it will take all of his magic to find the right guy to run the team. Do they even have that guy on the team? I guess we will see as the season goes forward.
