I had them twice. They are the only 2 nights I got black out drunk. I remember one night my roommate at the time and I grabbed one before we went into a bar because we thought it would be a good idea to chug them. Drank each in about 90 seconds (which is really hard to do because they're so sweet) then went into the bar.

I didn't drive that night, but my roommate did. I have no idea how he drove home, and I don't remember anything after we got home but apparently we had had a party after, had drank a case or two of Budweiser, I punched a hole in the wall.. Yeah. No more of that stuff for me ever again after that.

Back in the day there were way more scammers and cheats too. Don't miss that although someone getting rolled for 75k is sometimes high comedy assuming you are not the mark. I think that the DOJ seizing sites and stepping up UIGEA enforcement has also caused operators like SBR to take pause. They have to be very careful these days.

What some of my great friends need to remember is that there has been a lot that's changed outside of SBR that then affects who is posting here, their level of activity, why certain benefits are no longer open to US posters, why certain ones aren't available to international posters (I was lucky enough to get my son two iPads through the Store back when those of us overseas could order merch... trust me I'd trade my access to sportsbook cash to that ability to buy again any day!)

Personally I've been here for what feels like an eternity which still is peanuts compared to some of you lifers and started working here very soon after. Yes there was a different dynamic then but it was also 7 years ago!! I know my life has changed substantially since then and I assume many of yours have as well, and hopefully for the better! But I'm still here every day reading with interest what everyone's up to, what you're betting on, etc but also please keep in mind that we've lost some of our prolific PT posters here thanks to their own greed, stupidity and free will. Whether they believed the hype and tried to turn tout and recruit clients here, or become a bookie themselves taking bets from gullible nutters or were so desperate they tried to scam the Store, trivia, poker, fellow posters every way they could think of... we've seen it all. And to be honest I still take it personally when someone I thought was a decent dude - as much as you can gauge someone online - in turn tries to fukk us over because this place is beyond generous in so many ways and willing to help when you're in a tough spot with a book.

Anyway, I look forward to this coming year although I'm beyond bummed I'll be missing this Bash! But I hope those of you who do us the honour of visiting us daily when there are so many other outlets competing for your attention and continue to contribute to this wacky ass site will have a prosperous one. No matter where we are or what we do each day... it is what we make it xo

SBR is still the best sportsbetting forum and I still like it, but I also miss the good old days.

I miss the special lines, on how SBRJohn used to crush us offering great lines. There are still many good contests, and the jewel BTP still shines, but I miss some other fun contests. I remember a NFL team contest that was a blast.

On content, I miss the real high level on Handicapper Think Tank. Ganchrow posts were above my head, and many other users had very good insights. Today the subforum is barely a glorified Players Talk. Also miss Justin7, sharp poster, his book is a classic. And not afraid to criticize a book, even against SBR interests. He is the biggest casualty of BetIslands fiasco.

SBR today has many good things, store prices have not risen for a few years, there are good moderators (LTprofits and opti come to mind). And Sportsbook & the industry subforum is still informative. Maybe I am getting old, but I prefer the old times.
