Lakers -290
Nuggtes +250

Like I said in other thread, I think Nuggets have value at +280 or better.

But with all the pro-Denver sentiment I am seeing all over the place, there may be an outside chance where the Lakers open at -240 or less, in which case LA may have value.

In other words, too close for me to call until line comes out.

I am sniffing Denver real hard right now. If the Lakers beat Houston I am going to put a good series bet on Denver. If Houston beats LA will Denver be a huge favorite over Houston?

yeah but lebron and melo were in the same draft they can put a nice spin on that too

add to that even if LAL is LAL, to me they appear a bit 'shallow' - besides Kobe, and mb Gasol, which Laker has any potential in marketing a NBA final ? Fisher ? Don't go blowing your money on anything else.
Don't get caught up with the trend of counting the lakers out, they will come good after getting out of the series from Hell against Houston.

Like I said earlier, this is when everyone starts doubting the Lakers. I bet a lot of you lost money on them in Game 5 after they failed to show up in Game 4. They failed to show again and I know that's not what championship caliber teams are supposed to do. As a fan, I'll admit they lack the mental focus, desire, and that killer instinct to just put away teams and bury them. I'm not going to argue this because I think Cleveland and Denver are hungrier teams but when the Lakers are doubted, they rise to the occassion. On the other hand, Cleveland hasn't even been challenged. They faced a Pistons team that should have never made the playoffs and a Hawks team that beat Dwyane Wade in 7 games. This Laker team plays down to the competition, but when tested, they'll take care of business.
