    Bettors Bad Beats Thursday
Detroit: Up by 5 going into the bottom of the 7th, Verlander comes out (god only knows why) Leyland brings in Bobby Seay, who proceeds to walk or allow a hit to almost every single Minnesota batter. 6 run bottom of the 7th and I want to gouge my own eyes out with a ****ing rusty spoon. **** you Jim Leyland, have another cigarette you cock.

Seattle: Didnt have this one, Felix Hernandez pitches a gem, Seattle up 2-0 going into the bottom of the 9th, Morrow comes in, Blalock jacks one out, Murphy doubles and Chris Davis wins it with another jack.

And I actually almost pulled the trigger on Seattle today. If I did I think I would have a ****ing coronary infarction.

i dont think it takes god to know why he was pulled with 122 pitches.

which lefty would you guys have brought in to face mauer and morneau? They have one lefty in their pen, Verlander had thrown 122 pitches, my guess is thats near his career high. What would you have done in that situation given the bullpen the Tigers have?

OK didnt see that. But can you ask God why Leyland left in Seay while the Twins batted him around like a Low A ball meat?

Zumaya was not available after last nights 13 inning game.
i am not rubbing in your loss, i know it sucks. but you have to check which pitchers are available when making a play. verlander is good, and he strikes out a ton of guys, meaning the pen is gonna be needed generally, vs a good team (like minne). So they didnt have zumaya available today bc of last night and his injury history. Brining in Lyon would not have helped, not to mention they would not bring in Lyon in the 7th. But yes, Seay sucks. The Tigers pen is going to do this to them all year long, just like last year.

there is no way, looking at the way the 7thing inning started, that you could picture that game going from 5-0, to 6-5, the 1st fukking guy was struck out on top of it! All hell broke lose the second the bullpen came in.

vonnegut, i will tell you that no one had a more stressful morning than i did. first obviously with the Tigers blowing that lead. Then Hernandez dominating the Rangers only to see that bet fall with 2 homeruns given up by the closer. Than I had the under in the Phillies game in which Broxton blows the lead and then it goes to extras and I finally catch a break as Ryan "the strikeout king" Howard struck out to stay under by .5.
I had too many close calls and loses this morning when with a couple innings in each game looked like a 4-0 sweep, instead only get winners on Phillies under and Mariners under

2-2, but i can definitely say it could have been worse

Vonn, i know, i was actually just laughing about the bullpen meltdown in both games. I am used to it after watching the Mets do it all of last year. There is nothing you can do about it and if you get mad then it usually turns into chancing money.

good luck the rest of the day
