Luke, are u bullish on Bitcoin?

Considering some posts above, I'm concerned that the "# of merchants accepting Bitcoin" is flattening. If u look at the list from 3yrs ago, I think it would similar to list from today. I just don't see the growing demand that some predicted. As to how that impacts the BtC price...might not be gloom, but I don't see it increasing quickly either.

Yes. This is just a retrace(cooling down period) from hitting $5000 and China talking about banning BTC( won't happen). Within a couple weeks we'll be flying up again because the China stuff will be cleared up.

FWIW, I really think we'll hit $7000 by the end of the year.

Yes. This is just a retrace(cooling down period) from hitting $5000 and China talking about banning BTC( won't happen). Within a couple weeks we'll be flying up again because the China stuff will be cleared up.

If you live in an unstable country that might be subject to hyper-inflation (i.e. Venezuela), then bitcoin would be a way of protecting any cash you might have. While it might not be overly easy to spend at the moment, it would be easier to hold than gold. Its primary use is still as an investment vehicle.

Word of mouth. More and more people are learning about BTC every day. People have seen BTC jump from 1100 to 3000, then 5000 this year and want a piece of the action. Last year, barely anyone knew about BTC....now I have one friend a week asking me if its a good time to invest in BTC. People are dumping their 401k's into it, also. So while not many merchants have adopted it yet, people want it as an investment.

Also, FWIW, there are rumors Amazon is about to start accepting BTC as payment. I won't believe it until I hear it from them, but the rumored date is Oct 26th are their earnings conference

Only up about $600 since posting that.

I think 5k by end of month then a dip to about 4300 and stagnant until December when it blows up to 6k and then Jan Feb March of 18 it blows up to like 8k before a massive downswing.
