The US dollar will explode under Trump, it has already started,
once his people take control, you'll see gold drop to 800 and
bitcoin is going under 500, possibly even back to 200 or less.

The weak money policies of Obama administration allowed
bitcoin to flourish. Whole new ballgame coming. Bitcoin is
money laundering and black market. It is fraud and violates
wire acts and the mandate of the Fed and Treasury to
police American legal tender.

Snowball is implying that bitcoin is a hedge against a weak US$ like gold is. So will drop on a strengthening dollar.

But he must not have looked at any historical data as I doubt he could find a correlation with the US$.

Guess he uses a crystal ball.

Pretty steady day. A little move up in the morning off of 880 up to 905 but most the day sitting at 900. May be settling in.

BTC is is actually correlated with USD strength. 0.53 daily correl. btw GBTC and UUP since mid-Oct.

They all have their volatility from time to time

Issue with bitcoin is it is not liquid like the big currency pairs which makes it real dangerous

Give BTC credit for withstanding this severe downturn. If you look at the chart BTC started its record jump on Dec 16 when it was $790. It pierced $800 and kept going to nearly $1200. If you look past the great rise and fall and connect the mid December to mid Jan prices one could conclude that the rally higher is still in tact. Also, the low in the sharp sell off two days ago reached $815 so the $790 level held fairly nicely.

I think we will establish a trading range where we will stay for a while and consolidate/ heal. Probably a $875 to $995 type of range.

If that is true, I stand corrected.

Actually, don't really believe it... think you would need to bend data and read tea leaves to find the required anti-correlation to make Snowballs theory plausible. But don't care enough to go look so will accept.

I'm buying soon, all the chinese are buying bitcoin up cause the Yuan has fallen steady. Invest in bitcoin > if yuan falls sell bitcoin to yuan > possible profit. Of course that commie government gonna stop that. In trump we trust??

Personal decision on how fast you want to see the cash and how much it might bother you to lose even more.

For me, I have a some that were worth 1050 and have just left them sitting there expecting it go back near that again fairly soon before I deposit it. But not enough that I will care if it plunges either.
