WORD OF CAUTION for Houston backers (and under backers too)

If we see a repeat of what happened in Lakers/Houston game 3, the Rockets +9 and the under 197 bets will almost surely be cooked.

Recall that with the score 97-87 and 1:17 remaining the Rockets started intentionally fouling. The Rockets proceeded to give the Lakers 16 free throws in the last 1:17 of which the Lakers made 11. (That includes intentionally fouling down 13 with 14 seconds left!) During that period the Rockets scored 7 points. It killed the under (which looked pretty good until then) and it killed any chance the Rockets had of covering too.

If the Rockets do this again, the Rockets +9 and the under 197 bets won't have a chance, imho.

Any thoughts on this?

I guess you think the 40 point rub out was a fluke?

I like the fact that the Lakers are 7-2 ATS v. the Rockets this year. If the Lakers bring their A game, they cover.

It was not a fluke. But the Lakers don't need to win on the road twice. If they are down early they will just cruise because they know they can trash them at home. They only have one road win in these playoffs.
