Lets assume the Lakers close out the Rockets tomorrow night. (I know there are no guarantees in sports)

What do you think the line would be for the Nuggets to win the series vs. the Lakers??

My guess is around +325.

Now that I think of it, the series price on the Lakers will be substantially higher, maybe in the -300 or -500. The vast public who's doesn't pay much attention to basketball will continue to pound on the most popular team.

I guess I didn't write this one clear enough..hehe..i was trying to find out what thoughts would be on "Denver" to win the series, if they ended up playing the "Lakers" in the next round (in the form of a line)? My guess was around +325 (hope its higher though)

Denver +260

Nuggets have opened a lot of eyes and they may actually hold value at +280 or higher.

what's going to be really interesting is right now, i have Lakers a -160 fav over Cavs in the final.. but if the lakers keep struggling like this with HOU, and then tough it out with DEN to 7 games and barely win, and cavs keep winning by double digits every game, i will have the Cavs now favored for the series over the lakers..

Do you really think the Lakers are that much better than the nugs or the line will be -260 just because everyone always hammers the lakers? This Denver team is good. I just dont see how LA -260 against the Nuggets is justifyed. Maybe home court is a big factor here?

Well, if -260 is the current market for the Lakers to win the conference, then there are enough people out there that feel that the Lakers tower over the Nuggets. Whether or not that is true is almost irrelevant, the fact is that if books made the price much lower than -260. they will get flooded with Laker money. Then again, books more willing to take chances (aka Pinny) may want to invite that.
