64 Man Contest... Not a true challenge of skill...
If it were a true challenge of skill, every type of bet would be allowed. 1st halves, 1st five innings, 2nd halves for baseball, score in the 1st inning, team totals, on and on.

I'm very upset because my Braves 1st five inning bet cashed but I was forced to take the Braves for the full game in the contest and their bullpen blew the game and they lost in extra innings...

In the real world I'm a winner but in the 64 man contest I'm a loser.

The 64 Man Contest is not a true challenge of skill and that really bothers me. I almost always take first five innings bets because I think bullpen performances are almost impossible to cap but I'll be forced to make plays I never make in the real world for this contest.

I realize that everyone is in the same boat and it may even out over time but this contest should be about skill as much as possible otherwise it's not legit.

Fairly valid point but with all those lines it would make posting the lines for the day and grading a bigger pain in the ass. I lost a total in round 1 that I actually pushed with my actual wager...just happens. I'd still liked the total at the listed number with the + and have passed on games where I only liked the ff. Bullpens can be a thorn in everyones side for sure....just a short term contest for a challenge and fun.

Yeah. Grading and posting would take a lot of time. The big ones that I would like to see added are 1st halves lines and team totals which add whole new dimensions to the contest.

I was just bitching here, this is a great contest and really fun.

This was a hard loss to take though. I only bet the first innings just for situations like this and it bites me in the butt on my first baseball pick in the contest.

Again, in the real world I'm a winner but in the 64 man contest I'm a loser. I feel like a loser and it wasn't my fault at all, I didn't really want Braves for the game but I was forced to take it.

This is a really bad beat for me and I'm really down.

      On to tomorrow.

Any contest that uses stale lines is not a measure of skill. No contest really is, honestly.

An untrained monkey could follow line moves and anything over a small sample size really doesn't mean a whole lot.

Yeah I hear ya there...always sucks but your actual money is what actually matters. Good call on ff instead of game.

Bad beats happen a lot with bullpens but some go the same way every now and then...hopefully one in the contest will make up for the loss.

You know it...always on to tomorrow.

Fearless was a loser in the contest but he's a winner in the real world.

I only lost because I was banned on Friday (unjustifiably lol), and I had 6 winners written down that I could not get in. Oh and I was playing SBR poster child Diogee.

                  I was robbed again.

I didn't lose and didn't win. I didn't even participate. I had enough with Roberto's and Juanita's calling me every day since first contest started.

Yeah but you won more cash playing poker that day that you wouldn't have won playing in the contest for 6 weeks and then if you won the contest you would have to roll it over 10 times.

Actually Pavy, I lost $300 at poker. But I played for 11 hours, so I lost about $27/hr.

                        I'm a real winner Pavy.

there is no skill involved whatsoever....

I want 8-0 in my first round, that proves it
