It used to be so easy to get free drinks in Vegas where the casinos encouraged drunkeness so rubes would go overboard gambling and lose their money.Now when you are playing a machine especially at a bar, it's like the bartender is working for the TSA-homeland security-border patrol where they scrutinize if you are worthy of getting a free drink.Hell,if the government wants a training ground for police state narc recruiting,look no further than hiring Vegas bartenders.It's hilarious watching people in Vegas who want to trick the bartenders out of free drinks.It's the same maneuver guys on first base use to steal second where they wait for the bartender to move away a bit and go into some motion where the guy that got the free drink splits the scene.It must be embarrassing to get caught and scolded.My hunch is that there are so many bums in Vegas these days where management tells bartenders to keep an eye out for any potential moochers and error on the side of thinking most people might be moochers.Tough economic times in Vegas must bring out the worst in these situations.


Remember in the old days of strip clubs where management frowned upon guys taking in all the shows where they just bought one initial over priced drink where management kept guys like that on a short leash.Funny stuff!Then some stripper would come and sit on the guys lap where the guy was dumb enough to buy her a $40 mini bottle of pink sparkling water he thought would cost him $7.

I'm not sure where you go but my experience at the places I hang out is I just sit down at a slot machine, find a waitress and ask her for a drink. Then I leave the slot machine b/c I don't play them.
