yeah, although this probably wouldn't apply to me I'd hate to see sbr going cheap.(after going classy last year)

1 and 5 contradict... RogueScholar has been one of my biggest supporters, so he probably won't support my getting canned

Dave represents the very backbone of SBR, values, hard work, intelligence, and an ability to think outside the box. Dave is always the first person to take the time out of his day to listen to grievances from our community and achieve positive results.

There's no way SBR could hope to offer me enough money to lure me away from my current business, so if anyone needs to assume management it's Dave. Of course I'd be happy to consult, and I've done some research on potential new revenue streams for SBR, as a matter of curiosity. They'll remain in my filing cabinet so long as Douche Bag Dozer holds the reins. If some of these issues are dealt with, namely canning Dozer and Ganch, then perhaps we'll take this company to the next level of profitability and won't even have discussions of not compensating valued members of our community for attedance at the Bash.

It all stems from Dozer's attempt to marginalize my queer element on SBR without having the guts to come out and say it to my face. It started some months ago when I had an avatar of a young man kissing another's man's stomach, without any pretense or suggestion of nudity. That was promptly taken down by Willie, and in the course of corresponding with him I learned that the decision had come down from Dozer without him being willing to explain his reasoning to me personally. Willie said that I wasn't going to win this battle and to let it go.

Concurrent to this scenario was the brouhaha where several posters and a couple Mods decided to label me a "child molester" for my appreciation for twinks in photography. Where attacks on other posters are moved to the PZ, this one was allowed to fester in all its glory in PT for the duration. I was having simulataneous PM conversations with Willie and Dan, both informing me that Dozer had changed the avatar rules specifically to thwart me and that Dozer wasn't going to address this matter personally.

Now we move in for the coup de grâce, the avatar bet with IWin. Iwin lost an avatar bet with me, and I chose for him, in keeping with the finest traditions of SBR, a truly homosexual photo. This one depicted two twinks in a schoolroom, one removing the others shirt. Dozer promptly issued IWin and infraction and in the subsequent PM said that he should "be smarter" than to allow himself to be manipulated into displaying "deviant imagery" by me. I sent Dozer a PM saying that I took except to his characterization and that if anyone should bear the punishment, it should be me.

Here's where the story gets great. Dozer sends me a PM saying that he will not tolerate child pornography on SBR and that I should expect not only to receive sanction here, but that investigation by the authorities wouldn't be unexpected in this situation. This is made truly laughable by the fact that the photo is copyrighted, thus proving that the models depicted were proven to the U.S. Copyright office to be of legal age. Before I can set aside my shock to reply, I find he's banned me for 10 days without so much as an opportunity to respond in my own defense. I served out my full ban without whining for reinstatement, and now he has me as a sworn enemy.

I have no use for bigots like Bill Dozer, people who want to hide behind their authority and be utterly capricious in their application of justice based on one's sexual orientation. I have resisted their influence my whole life, and I intend to do so on SBR as well.

I have issues with Ganch based on his unabashed use of the Invisible Mode in chat. I was pulling a prank on AgainstAllOdds, saying that he was giving me the run-around on some money I supposedly loaned him. There was no money, this was all just a story to accomplish two purposes.

Firstly, the forum at the time was at the height of its "Young Guns Gang" era and the clubhouse mentality was driving more than a few of us older posters a little batty. Since AAO was their ringleader, a faux scandal seemed to be ample medicine to quiet their roar. Secondly, AAO was on a crusade to remove "stiffs" from the forum, and I felt that far too little evidence was being asked in corroboration of these stiffs. By exposing how easy it is to convince people that someone is a stiff by presenting a total fabrication, I thought that the forum as a whole might learn to apply some logical skepticism in these matters.

The story was bought hook-line-and-sinker by an absolutely staggering subset of our membership. AAO hadn't even responded, and my intention was to wait until he asked for proof of this transaction to lay bare its true nature as a fallacy. Before it reached that point, I was interrupted in chat by a message from Ganch saying "Don't you think you ought to apologize?"

I was amazed to see a message from him because while me and my fellows were chortling over the development of the story, Ganch had never officially entered the chat room. I responded "To what effect? As far as anyone is concerned currently this matter is still in question." He then proceeded to tell me that he'd used the Invisible Mode on the chat to eavesdrop on our entire conversation and that he felt no compunction to apologize for breaching what we had all felt was a private conversation.

Now, I'm not blameless in this matter. I regret having cast baseless aspersions on AAO's character for my own desires to make a sociological statement to the forum at large. I made my apologies to him and we have, to my delight, remained very dear friends. My issue with Ganch is that he felt no need to respect the privacy of the entire chat room by entering and joining the conversation like any other person.

Just because someone is a Mod doesn't mean that they have carte blanche to treat the posters as chattel. To breach our conversation unannounced, speak condescendingly to me and tell me what I should do in no uncertain terms was not the behavior of a man who deserves, or can expect, respect. He posted the nature of our chat to the board before I could even offer an apology in my own words. How are we supposed to feel comfortable having any manner of meaningful conversation and exchange of ideas on this site when we have to assume that a Mod is skulking in the shadows reviewing every word?

I think SBR owes us more respect, as it is our losses and deposits that pay their salaries. I was guilty of poor judgment in my storytelling it's true, but Ganch was wrong too in not having the decency to enter the chat like a normal person and speak to me as an equal instead of scolding me like a schoolboy. I've never had any problem articulating my thoughts to the Mods and then working towards an agreeable course of action. I wish Ganch had given me the opportunity to display those character traits that day.

IWin's goal was to have me display a sexually-charged heterosexual avatar for a week. It's true it probably wouldn't have bothered me, per se, but it would've made me a little uncomfortable. I'm bisexual and I appreciate the female form, but these days my visual attraction tends to lean decided male. It seemed like an amusing wager, and I was happy to agree to the terms.

All of this was done around the chat "regulars", and I agreed to have them approve any avatar I selected for IWin should my team prevail in the game. I felt comfortable with my selection seeing as how it was copyrighted, and eight of my best friends on SBR, heterosexuals all, felt that it wasn't anymore graphic than a majority of the heterosexual avatars at the time. I was truly disappointed that Dozer decided to jump to conclusions, chastise me, and then ban me before I even had the opportunity to respond.

Get real, Ganch is one of the best things to happen to SBR as well as being pretty damn nice and a hoot to spend a night in Vegas with. He's awesome. Sometime I wish I was Ganch.
