its 65 feet from where I step off three of my feet from the 3 point line to that wall.....

this is where I Pitched all winter for the last 3 years till this year..... I got roughed up too bad my last season and my team had too many errors for me to return to competitive pitching

Wow, that was awesome to watch. I've never even attempting pitching in baseball, I always played catcher in Junior High and High School, and I have to say that looked like one hell of a pitch. It was great to have the video from behind you and slow the action down to see the concert of movement between your arm, wrist and fingers. Thanks for indulging me with this Archie. I just got out my Pac-10 official baseball (gotta love the taller seams on the college ball) and I think I might see what I've got. I'll be sure to warm up though, I'm sorry if you got hurt making this vid.

wakefield started out as a first basemen in the pirates organization, and only threw the knuckle for fun.....

when he couldn't hit worth shit, he tried pitching out, and look where it got em.....

how many millions did he earn from "fooling" around with that pitch during warm ups of minor league games

Yeah, it's true Taco. In a truly ironic twist of circumstances, after I came out in college I never was able to find a comfort in being the bottom. I'll still do it from time to time with a guy I'm really in love with, but it's always one of those "Beige, I think I should paint the ceiling beige..." moments. Ya know?

Was a good hard throw but looked like a hit battsman on the knee cap if there was a lefty in the box. A very live arm considering there were no warm up tosses.

I doubt it was that fast.... maybe 60-65 it was a hard curveball basically.... I doubt if even my fastball would reach 78 in that situation without warming up and being drunk, I haven't thrown in a year.

at my peak I could get mid 84-87 on a good day WITH Ephedrine and Caffeine...

i'm in k-town by roosevelt and pulaski, so like 5 miles (independence exit on 290)

we went kayaking this morning after some par 3 golf from North Avenue and Halsted, we spend most of our time up north...

looking to move to Logan Square

used to play in a league of college players and washed up college guys like me... I flamed out quick... we played our home games at Winnimac park near Damen and Foster. Maybe we can get together and work out this summer and play.

I pitched, caught and played outfield... mostly I was on the bench
