Even if he believes Hou has a>50% to win series, no reason he should take even money for the bet when a better price is available.

Bets between posters on such things seem ridiculous because the price of the vig in a book is well worth avoiding the possible risk of being stiffed by a poster or other hassles.
Either you are illiterate or didn't actually read anything I've posted in this thread. Which is it?

does not appear that you've posted much of any substance. But you're welcome to try again.

Since I'm bored I'll recap for you:

Frostno: Lakers won't beat Houston, let alone Denver.
Mangueras: I'll bet you the Lakers beat Houston (odds unspecified).
Frostno: Random insult to avoid running away with tail between legs.
Me: I'll give you Denver over Lakers even money, via Matchbook to avoid stiffing.
You: "Even if he believes Hou has a>50% to win series, no reason he should take even money for the bet when a better price is available.

Bets between posters on such things seem ridiculous because the price of the vig in a book is well worth avoiding the possible risk of being stiffed by a poster or other hassles."

You're welcome. Now go learn to read.

and again why would he take even money on a dog?

however, I'll admit I didn't realize you can match offers on Matchbook to a specified person without risking someone else taking it. If that's true then the second part of my point doesn't apply here.
