Those topics are played out by Eminem. I like the songs where is introspective and tries to have a deeper theme. The creative and fictitious songs are cool and all, i.e. "Stan", but it's clear he's still interested in pleasing only the 16yr old listeners as opposed to people that might have followed him throughout his career.

this post makes absolutely no sense.... Zero. First of all he does tell a lot of different stories and shit thruought the album, and 2nd he was real bad with drugs the past 4 years or so. His addiction got real bad. Obviously hes going to rap about it?? He has been clean 1 year now

Alright now that I've listened to the album 4 or 5 times, all the way through, I think I can truly comment on it.

1. There is another album coming out soon. That is obvious by the skit in song 17. He's next album won't be as dark, IMO. It will be a recovery album.

2. **** all the haters. You were all the ones saying he needed to go 1997, and hardcore again and that's exactly what this album was. There's no R&B bullshit on this album, and he spits almost EVERY verse. He has very few features on this album.

3. This album is a story from start to finish and that is cool as ****. If you listen to it all the way through it's put together great.

4. Em suffering like he has woke him up. That's for sure, and I don't think anyone can argue that. If you go back and listen to the lyrics, he proves again that he is BY far the best lyricist in the world. He lost that title for about 8 years, because he tried to go main stream, but this one he said **** it and went hard.

5. Dre and Em said that rapped was being destroyed by all this R&B garbage and that they would put an end to it. There albums will be the best albums dropped this year, and there goal will be accomplished.

5) Plus this albums story is of a relapse, him relapsing back to slim (other one is to Marshall) that is why it is so crazy and demented. Slim is his crazy side...

They dropped four singles in this album, and the next one will be lucky to have two. The next one will only be dark because proof will be a focus.

The fact that beautiful is your favorite song doesn't shock me either, to be honest. I like the song but it's catchy and it's a "The Eminem Show" song. The best songs on this album are My Mom, Deja Vu and Stay Wide Awake. That's where he does his best work.

Eminem and Dre also said on Shade 45 that rap music is being taken over by these R&B vocalist and that it's trashing music. They said you wouldn't hear them dropping tracks featuring these "hot" artists. But I'm sure you know what they meant more than they did when they said it.

They said that they will drop 4 #1 albums this year, and that's there goal. They spread it out so that they will drop every three months, or so, and top the charts for the next 3 months. I am not positive of the order, but I know Em is dropping 2, 40 1 and Dre 1.

I heard so much crap from em in interviews and from the whole shady camp about how relapse was to em what the black album was to Jay and it's nowhere close...

I don't doubt what you heard but from what I've read (which is a lot) this album is about shady and the next one is about Marshall (Em said this personally in a Shade45 interview the day 3am leaked) that is where he said that this album would be dark in the murderous sense and the next one would be more emotionally dark/serious... same interview he said he had a song for proof on relapse... that song isn't on the leak, assuming the leak is actually relapse... he referenced proof in 1 song, you could draw the reference to two songs but he never did a full song on him or even a verse... just a bar on dejavu...

and beautiful is the consensus number 1 song on the net with underground at 2 and usually de ja vu at 3... I'm not saying I, or anyone should base there opinions on others but Beautiful is more than a "eminem show" type song.

Em's been clowning everyone lately... I wouldn't be surprised at all if he dropped a completely different album May 19 (highly unlikely but thats the type of stuff Em could pull off)

*I never said I didn't like the lyrics on this album. Lyrics are better than the production (which is great as always) and the flow... Lyrics are the best part of the album, aside from the wordplay possibly... His lyrics and wordplay are crazy but some songs are pointless... this could be what he's going for givin it's a relapse but it doesn't make for the best listen imo...

and rappers can spit way longer than 1:45

Its so weird how much we agree sometimes... I think you nailed your review on this album. I couldnt agree more... Its so refreshing to hear Eminem again that is for sure
