bought my wife some sandals she wanted and wrapped them up to give from my little girl

plus some plants and yard stuff

I went the jewelry route this year, I was totally out of ideas. I found this sweet gold and diamond owl necklace (my Mom loves owls) at Overstock, and I also got her a waterproof shower dock for her iPod since she loves music. Between those two things and some flowers, I feel pretty good about this year.

I don't care how degenerate you are or how estranged you've become from your family. Nobody, and I mean nobody as in not even your wife, daughter, best friend, boyfriend, et. al., loves you the way your Mother does. And nothing feels better than making your Mother smile and know she's appreciated. That's just how it is, you lousy degens. So do something for her today, and make sure you go out of your way.

I actually sent my mom some flowers from FTD as well. A purple hydrangea plant that she can plant in the ground and it will come up every spring.
