Isn't there a MLB rule that states you can't start an inning at a particular time? A long time ago... I thought it was 2AM local time? But that was years ago.

The American League used to have a 1 AM local time curfew, but that rule was abolished years ago.

They are about to resume, but hypothetically if they had been unable to continue, the game would have simply been suspended and play would have resumed in 10th inning tomorrow. For betting purposes, special post-season rules would have applied at USA-facing books, meaning all bets would have remained open until game was completed regardless of completion date.
