Time Rockets Give Up On Yao
It is obvious they cannot win with him, he is injury prone and just cannot compete day in and day out. The thing is he makes them money with the very large Asian worldwide fan base. Houston does not are about winning.

    1. Speak fuking english.
    2. They would have never got to the playoffs if he wasnt on the team.

300 lb + guy who is soft.... geez

why the Chicken Chow Meiner brings the ball down on rebounds is beyond me. He's almost a foot taller than most people around him in the paint.... but he does it AGAIN AND AGAIN AND AGAIN

i feel bad for yao he really is a skilled player but he just isnt NBA material. He isnt physical or atheltic and is more suited for international play and thats why hes always injuried because hes trying to get past it but he cant

Yao makes Houston a fortune, the Wall Of China is staying right there in Texas.

He is too fragile to build a team around. Come playoff time you will always hold your breath that he will crack a bone or something. He tires too easily too. You can't play with a player over about 7-2. That is the limit for what the body can deal with long term.

I remember when he first came over to the states as an AAU player and I was scouting him. He just got dunked on constantly. He would not foul people or be physical at all. We stood our 5 foot 6 friend right beside him and he came up to Yao's crotch it seemed like lol. I knew right then that he would never work out, he was just soft. Turns out he is physically soft on top of mentally. As a teen he hated being in the states.

Once again goldie is spot on. What a guy. JJ must be jewish. Awesome.

Yeah he never worked out. Only averaged 19 and 10 in a down year and 11th in the league in PER. WTF?

donjuan the whole point is that he is injury prone. Doesn't matter how good you are if you break down all the time.

How is he going to do today vs the Lakers? This is when they need him who cares about regular season they have a shot at the championship.

Every bit of his success has come from him being 7-6. But he's fragile so he can't help the Rockets or any other team. He always has been fragile.

I could name about 20 teams that would be more than willing to upgrade to Yao Ming.

Me too KLC. The point is that you cant build a team around him. Sure he is a good center. He should not be counted on to carry a team though. Watch the result of that fallacy at 3:30 today on ABC.

I agree with that. The bigger problem with this team is that they had McGrady as their other star. Yao got them out of the first round without Tracy. If Yao had better star power beside him, the focus wouldn't have to be on him all the time. I think the Rockets will make this closer than people expect today. Its amazing what emotion can do sometimes.

i always thought he was soft. He is one of those players littered all over the sports world that builds stats against garbage teams but when the playoffs begin, and the teams are better, he disappears. Like most big men he has terrible hands. He has a nice jumper but if u throw the ball into him and put just a little pressure on him, 99 out of 100 times he loses the ball. He is the Donovan McNab of the NBA. Same shit with Mcnab. Throws for 800 yards against the Detriots of the world then come playoff time and the teams are better, He shows his true colors.

They would get rid of McGrady before they get rid of Yao. Yao is the best center in the NBA.

Chuck Hayes is like a smaller version of Ben Wallace with his defense. Its a shame they couldn't give him more playing time in the past. This is his time to shine.
