My house did not burn down, things are looking better here regarding the fire. My Father's house burned down though. He has great insurance as well as the other homes here. Where the fire happened were all multi million dollar homes, the people will be taken care of. JJ, I appreciate the donation but I don't need anything, thanks though.

i can't even imagine how one can get homeowners insurance in California, by my estimates the entire state is uninsurable

Everyone I know that owns , has great insurance if something was to happen. I could of cared less if my house burned down, I would of been taken care of and built something better.

i'm just saying, the premiums have to be through the roof. Skewing the rest of the state/country is the southern 1/3rd of the state.

its like in new jersey, they were taken out of state farm's pool with the rest of the country because auto insurance was driven so out of whack there.

We have fires here quite often, and every home that is destroyed is built bigger and better than what it was. My house is fine and the evacuation has been lifted!

Insurance only makes you "whole" again. You will not make a profit from your homeowners policy. This is the biggest misconception in the insurance industry.

If your house burns down and you lose everything, you will not "be taken care of and buy something better" with your insurance coverage. I hope nothing happens to your house. God be with you.

that's a blanket statement. In reality getting full retail value on property is usually a hell of a bargain.

You're right. If your house burns down, you won't be getting actual cash value for your house and property. You'll be living with friends or family or in an apartment for a while. You will not be making a profit from your policy.
