With all due and sincere respect in the world to you, Then Leave this Board. Like an old western saloon, the doors swing both ways. If I were unhappy with the procedures here as you mention and knowing there are 1000's of other places to chat on line, then I would leave and not look back.

I am sorry. I'll now be away for the weekend. SBR John, Willie Bee & Bill Dozer just suspended me for being mean. My suspension starts at 8 AM this morning.

I know SBR paid him well, I think he was the highest paid guy in all of forumville when he left. But SBR will not pay anyone under the table. BBD knows the door is open. It's one thing for a moderator's decision to be overturned by a higher-up, but to have that moderator (a very experienced one, I may add) suspended for his actions. Yikes. Maybe General isn't a good mod fit at SBR...

A mod's job is to be like the UN trying to mediate between conflicts. Genny thought being GWB invating another country unilaterally to force his will is how things are done in forumville. History will judge him as the worst mod in forumville years from now.

What's wrong with paying someone under the table when the situation requires it? You figure out what the net effect on the bottom line will be, saving money on payroll taxes and having to pay tax on those monies as actual business revenue, keep a little bit for your trouble and pay the man. As a member of a cash-only economy, it's not that hard to understand why BBD might require things this way.

I think being unwilling to be flexible with how you compensate employees is a grave error in judgment. You put the best people you can find into the jobs you have and then find a way to keep them happy and productive. It's obvious that The General isn't the solution to your problem.
