A couple of points:

Almost a year ago EOG was hitting new records in terms of post count. This was before Mo even came aboard. Once Mo came aboard there was the natural influx of posters some of which have stayed some have not.

Now, we are down to two paid mods and one person being paid for the content on the main page. While traffic did take a slight decline there was not a lot of difference. (This is determined by removing Mo's, mine, and SOS's posts to be fair since I am sure several would say that it is not right to include Mo's posts as he has such a large quantity each day). We could argue quantity versus quality until we are blue in the face, but quality is in the eye of the beholder.

Now, enough from me about EOG as I would hate to bore you

As for Raiders, he is a sweet guy. I have always known that he has a screw loose, but that is Raiders.

Having spoken on the phone with him several times he is a pleasure to talk to and has a good heart, even though he doesn't always show it on the sites. I haven't always agreed with his manner of posting, recruiting posters from other sites, or everything he has done on the forums, but overall he is a good guy.

P.S. IMO disrupting another forum will usually backfire in the end and those that do it will tend to regret it later on.

Blondie post counts and paid posters and hanger-on's do not mean anything. How many players does EOG send its sponsors vs SBR? My point is post counts are easily manipulated. As I said when EOG went on the crusade to inflate their number that it wouldnt work. These forums must offer a lot more than a Raiders and a Gyno type posting happy faces. If you dont, you end up with a collection of posting homies that do not support sponsors...sound familiar? Dont get me wrong Im not being rude. It was Raiders who said back in Jan that EOG would be the top forum and that SBR was losing it. The opposite happened for the reasons I described.

I agree that they can be inflated, hence why I subtracted the posts I did to get the final number.

I also agree that there has to be posts and information relative to what the site is about or a site will not attract the clientele that they desire.

As for signups at sponsors it isn't my place to discuss the amounts either here or there.

I haven't taken any of what you have said as rude, as I hope you have not taken any of what I have said as rude. I enjoy a good, quality discussion.

The main thing I have never understood is why would someone want to steal posters from another site when those posters already have accounts at the books. Instead sites should be working to find new blood to bring in that can offer up the signups needed to stay in business.
