Justin, have you ever had a case where you recieved a complaint because the line was off alot but it was due to slow moving and the bet was still canceled?

Yes. In NBA, the line moved 3-4 points and some C book canceled it. It was reinstated later after SBR became involved.

You can get away with it in Vegas, especially at a book like Leroys that has books at various casinos all over town. They have no way to restrict you from betting with them ever again since you can just go to a different location to do so. I started a thread about a bad line posted at Leroys a few months back. They hung a total of 70 on an NBA 2nd half when it should have been something like 103. They will very rarely trespass you. You'll most likely just get 86'ed from the book and not be able to bet there again. One of my friends got a reversed line on an NCAAF game at Venetian last season (+10 rather than -10). He hit it for the max and they said nothing until he came back to cash it. He can't bet in the book there anymore but isn't 86'ed from the property.

Just as a reference I didnt know what 86'ed ment so I looked it up.

backed-off. To be informed by casino management or pit personnel that you may no longer play blackjack in their establishment or that you must flat-bet if you play or you must limit your bet spread if you play.

bar. As in to be barred from a casino. A casino game control measure to restrict a game from undesirables. This includes cheats, disorderly persons and players suspected of card counting at blackjack.

86'ed is pretty much the same thing as being barred/banned.

Justin, taking the angle you did, it would have been informative to mention that if you see a bad line, report it. Depending on the book they may give you a small freeplay, thank you, etc. At the very least you seem like an advocate for them. It possibly could come into play further down the road.

Anyway, years ago I reported bad start times for daily golf rounds. I actually reported it twice. Well the next week again the start times were 1 hour off. I decided to play. I made a decent score. I don't feel bad since I notified them twice. If they are managed that poorly, oh well. You had matchups like Tiger vs VJ with VJ like a +300 dog. After 3 holes VJ was up 4 strokes over Tiger.

The same book during football season had props like this Will there be over/under touchback punts. over 2 1/2 +250 under 2 1/2 +175.
                I hit it as well.

I really think these were inside jobs.

Thanks Justin...always thought a bad line was where it's -4.5 ... I bet and then it moves to +4.5...happens all the time, I'm not too sharp
